Description
When certain insects bite or sting you, they leave behind their saliva or venom just under the surface of the skin. This may cause your body to react. The Bug Bite Thing is a suction tool that extracts the irritant and helps alleviate itching, stinging and swelling that occurs with bug bites and stings. The compact bug bite thing tool removes the irritant and your body stops producing the reaction that causes uncomfortable itching.

Yea it does suction. However, the suction is not strong enough for it to come out. It does relieve the itching a little but not entirely. I would recommend pairing this with another anti-inch topical product for it to be effective. By itself, would not recommend.

LIFESAVER. If you get a good seal around the bite, hold for 20 sec, and do it soon after a bite - it makes a dramatic difference. The size of bite is greatly reduced and itchiness is minimal. I hardly use itch cream anymore. My kid has strong swelling reactions to bites and this has eliminated a lot of swelling

Doesn’t work well and can make the bug bite worse, bigger and more painful as the suction doesn’t pull venom out, but spreads it under your skin. Apparently from other reviews, it only helps if you use it immediately after you get bitten…which isn’t always an option. If you use it a couple hours later, you’re screwed and it honestly makes it worse!

It may not work 100% of the time, but I feel better at least trying something on itchy mosquito bites. We all feel better giving it a try and it usually does help with the itching. I used a similar suction tool based off this design when I was stung by a bee this summer and was amazed how much better the sting felt after using something to suction the venom out, so I bought the real thing and do not regret it.

I tried the Bug Bites Thing and I ended up in the emergency room. On Saturday night, I got a bug bite and tried the Bug Bites thing. By Sunday morning, the bug bite had doubled in size (saw a physician) and by Monday morning, the bug bite had quadrupled in size (saw a physician again - and started antibiotics). It’s Tuesday 1AM, and the bug bite is still increasing in size. So, we’re in the ER as the physician had recommended if it continued to grow. Ugh - I keep wondering if I hadn’t used this product, would I have ended up in the ER? Would the bug bite just be scabbing by now? Use at your own risk…

Used this on mosquito bites and am feeling instant relief and decreased itchiness already! The label states it works better on fresh bites, which I have found to be true. I have also tried it on day old bites though and it has helped reduce the itchiness as well. It is so easy to use and is small enough to slip into your bag.

You really need to use this within the first 24 hours. After that it wasn’t very helpful. On the fresh bites it worked great, though! Got a Mosquito bite on my temple, used this as soon as I saw the bump forming. Not only did it not itch but went away completely after 3 days. If I’m bitten, they swell, itch and last 7-10 days so this was a huge improvement.

Works best when used sooner rather than later. I usually end up with welts from mosquito bites. This makes the itch & bite go away. If it's a bad bite I also dab some Witch Hazel on it & no more itch. Wish I'd known about this sooner!
