Blackeye peas are medium-sized, beige beans (in the field pea family) with black markings and a distinctive, delicate flavor all their own. While very popular in American Southern and soul food dishes, they are also consumed in India, Africa, Europe, Asia, and South America. Like all of our beans, Camellia’s Blackeye Peas are non-GMO, gluten-free, and meet the “Hayward Standard” – the name our growers gave our bean quality standard – which exceeds the top USDA requirements.     Takes me Back to my Grandma's Cooking

    My grandmother always made Blackeye Pea Soup when I visited. It was flavorful and filling. These Black Eye Peas are perfect for making this family favorite - both tender and flavorful. They pick up the taste of the hambone and spices I add.

    Perfection, Once Again

    I have lived away from my home state for 34 years, but every year I MUST have my Camellia blackeye peas. I would either buy them while there visiting, or in the last 10-12 years that I don't return as much, I order them online. There is just no comparison to the quality of the beans at Camellia so I always order several other kinds, in addition to my New Year's requirement. Once again, thank you for my Louisiana good luck!

    You cant beat this brand for their black eyed peas or pinto beans. Theyre very fresh for dried beans and usually have little to no stones in them. You can really taste the freshness compared to other brands whose products can be as much as two years old!
