A: I have used Camillia Rose for 6 years. It adds more moisture to my hair than any other product. My daughter uses the entire line of CR. I am not allergic to silicone if the product does have it. I hope this helps.

Q: Should this product be applied on very wet or damp hair?

Q: Can Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk be used directly on your scalp; also. can it be used as a daily moisturizer to keep (not hot pressed nor processed hair] natural hair soft and moisturized?
submitted by DJ - 2 years ago
A: How to use: Upon washing and cleansing hair, use as a leave-in conditioner, applying evenly from root to tip. May also be used to refresh styles on dry hair in need of a shot of moisture.

Q: Can Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk be used daily on Afro/American hair - I wear my hair in a short natural Afro hair style and want to add softness to my hair. Does your hair have to be wet or damp before applying?
submitted by DJ - 2 years ago
A: Hello Upon washing and cleansing hair, use as a leave-in conditioner, applying evenly from root to tip. May also be used to refresh styles on dry hair in need of a shot of moisture.
I don’t love it or hate it. I’m not even sure if I am using it properly, but hey I bought it. I don’t use it on my hair, but I have used it on others, just to get rid of it though.

Not for low porosity. It sat on top of my hair and made it look dry and dull. I have thick 4b hair btw.

Made my hair soft, perfect amount of density and creaminess, and is an excellent detangler but it smells too much like Playdoh. Had to return it.

Perfect leave-in especially for low porosity hair. Lightweight, adds a little bit of curl definition, and great slip. Cons: has a weird play dough smell after applying to hair and leaves a little bit of frizz. Nonetheless will repurchase!!!

Love this! It smells so good and it is the perfect weight and consistency for a leave in. Leaves my hair feeling moisturized and not dry. BUT it’s impossible to get out the bottle. The bottle does not give- it has very little squeeze to it. It’s made out of a very thick plastic and when I squeeze it, it feels like I am going to break it. There’s no turning it upside down and shaking- the leave in is thick and will not budge. So this needs to come either in a completely different bottle. Preferably one of those squeeze, upside down type bottles. Or in a jar. Or just make the plastic thinner so it’s easier to squeeze. I take off the top and squeeze it out onto my bathroom counter and use it that way.

I was having issues with my previous leave in and curling cream leaving flakes in my hair with or without gel so I decided to try some Camille Rose products after some research. This works really well with my very short (think buzzcut), type 4, low porosity hair. I pair it with the curling cream and Ecostyler gel and no more flakes! Even if I’m a little heavy handed from time to time. It moisturizes really well and I get a good couple of days before I have to consider spraying my hair with a little water. I was super pleased with the results so I went out and got the deep conditioner and protein treatment too and now my wash days are flake free again! I agree with other reviewers who said that the product smells like play doh or even a little like plastic but it’s not a smell that lingers for me. I’m also not using that much since my hair is so short so your miles may vary.

It is so nourishing and my hair loves this but I agree with the review that says it smells like play doh… it is too strong and doesn’t fade either . I love the smell of other Camille rose products and this is the only one I can’t stand .. Its still good and my hair loves it so I use it still just very small amounts at a time

I can’t get past the strong play doh smell to even give it an accurate try. Smells disgusting and I only put a small amount on a sectioned piece of hair. It’s strong af and I’m not even sensitive to smell. I feel like I need to re-wash it. Definitely returning this. I wanted to love it so much

Softening and Nourishing

This leave in has good ingredients, is cgm friendly and nourishes your hair. It has a thicker consistency so it can weigh finer hair down, but I used a smaller amount of the product, emulsified it and it was alright for my finer hair. It left my hair feeling noticeably softer and cared for. I personally like the smell, it is sweet and pleasant, however it is a little overpowering and I can see how it can put people off. However otherer than that it is a good leave in, does what it says.

Maybe this is a good product, maybe it isn’t - I wouldn’t know because I could not get past the absolutely disgusting sweet, artificial, nasty, cheap vanilla smell! Rice milk and macadamia oil? - sounds wonderful! If only it smelled like that! I just could not bring myself to put this nasty smelling stuff on my hair. That’s the problem with online shipping I guess! If you’re thinking of purchasing, go sniff it in a shop to check you’re ok with the smell first!

Too heavy for fine 2b/2c hair but would be fantastic in coarser/thicker hair or those looking to smooth out waves
2 out of 5 stars
JC - 7 months ago, Verified purchaser
For my thin, fine curls, this was way too heavy. I’m Caucasian and have 2b/2c hair. This smells heavenly (like cocoa butter and love!) and I tried just the tiniest bit, but it totally weighed down my hair to the point I had to rewash it. That being said, my hair was super soft and didn’t frizz so anyone with coarser or thicker hair might love this! I wish I could say I do, but my hair is too fine and my waves/curls are too loose for it.

Imagine a tub of pre-made vanilla frosting— this is literally what it smells like—soo delicious. At one point this worked fine for my 3a/3b low porosity curls, but as time went by my curls don’t like aloe vera (maybe they did back then but I didn’t pay attention). I do however love this stuff and just the smell alone. I totally recommend. It’s incredibly moisturizing.
