Q: I have 3b - 3c hair and it tends to get dry with every leave in I use, Will this work with my textured dry hair ? I’m a little scared that honey will make my hair even dryer.

submitted by Dr1 - 4 years ago
  • A: Honey Hydrate will absolutely work on your texture. The key to using Honey Hydrate is to use it on wet hair and keep in mind that a very little goes a long way. The ingredient, Honey, is one of the best moisturizers around because it is naturally a humectant which helps to attract and retain moisture.

submitted byCamille Rose - 3 years ago

Q: Will it aid in hair growth?

submitted by Sue - 4 years ago
  • A: No, this is a leave=in hair conditioner. Not a hair growth product.

Q: I have high porosity hair and it is 3c-4a kinky coily hair. I do have a (s) pattern. Is this Camille rose naturals honey hydrate great for my hair type? I heard that honey is not good for high porosity hair.

submitted by Chocolate chip - 4 years ago
  • A: Our Honey Hydrate Leave In is a great humectant that draws moisture for the environment into your hair strands. Seeing as how you have high porosity hair, we'd recommend the Coconut Water Leave In, because it would help seal in moistures and combat some frizz you may get from using a product that is such a strong humectant, like our Honey Hydrate Leave In.

Can't believe they changed the formula. Honey used to be the first ingredient now it's propanediol (zema). Also they added fragrance(parfum) full of hidden toxins. Very disappointed this brand has sold out!

i never leave reviews, but girl... this is the strangest thing. it smells and feels exactly like honey - thick and tacky, so i felt weird about putting it into my hair, but it went in so smooth and tamed my frizz like it was nothing. it became so slick and glossy, leaving my curls super defined and soft. smells incredible. a must buy!

First of all, I’d like to say this is an amazing product on its own. I have used it alone on soaking wet hair with good results (after it dries), and I’ve used it on damp-to-dryish hair to refresh with pretty good results. However, I find that this works best for me on wet hair mixed in with a leave in cream (I use Aunt Jackie’s.) Alone, it has NO slip, which is fine as the product does not claim to detangle hair. However, I would say initial application makes my hair texture feel a bit rough. After it dries down it makes it soft. My hair is already what I consider to be on the medium-coarser side, and it’s tangly, so I need most of my products to aide in detangling or at least help with smoothing. When I mixed it with a cream, it was magic for my hair. So if you’ve tried it the other ways, I would suggest trying it this way before you give up. Use sparingly, it doesn’t take a lot. This might actually be a holy grail for me now. For reference, I’m type 4 with med/coarse strands, low-med density.

Use Correctly and You'll Love It

After using it correctly I can’t get enough of this. It’s so moisturizing and hydrating. A lot of the low star reviews speak on it being super sticky (which it is). However I don’t think it’s supposed to be used on dry hair. Once you wet it it’s way more manageable. First few times I used it as such and was ready to ditch it. Then one day I tried it after washing my hair when it was still very damp. Amazing.

I recently tried the Camille Rose Honey Hydrate Leave-In Hair Conditioner, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! This product is simply amazing. The honey-infused formula provided intense moisture to my hair, leaving it feeling incredibly soft and nourished. The lightweight consistency made it easy to distribute throughout my strands without weighing them down. Additionally, the delightful scent added a pleasant touch to my haircare routine. I highly recommend the Camille Rose Honey Hydrate Leave-In Hair Conditioner for anyone seeking a superb leave-in conditioner that truly delivers hydration and revitalization to their locks. It's definitely a must-have in my haircare collection!

This is not a true leave in condition

Since Mielle sold their company I wanted to try a leave in conditioner that was from a black owned company. This had great reviews, and I’m horribly disappointed. When I’m doing a wash and go and apply this leave in conditioner as my base, then Doux curl crème, and then Jamaican black castor oil to seal the moisture and have my curls pop, they don’t pop like the did with Mielle’s leave in coditioner. This leave in conditioner is thick like Sheamoisture’s Jamaican black caster oil, which I love as a sealer… but to use a product of similar texture as the base serves no purpose. It made my curls look fluffy/undefined/ and frizzy. It doesn’t penetrate my hair like a true cream leave in conditioner would.

This is by far the best leave in I’ve ever used. I can’t do without it after washing my hair now. For the natural girls, it’s the best leave in before doing you protective hair style. It really does keeps your hair hydrated. I’ve added this to my bible of hair products.

I bought this with a lot of skepticism after running out of my last bottle of Pattern leave-in. To this point, I have pretty much exclusively used spray or cream-based conditioners. But this stuff…it’s magic! Seriously, my type 4 (mix of 4a and 4c) curls have never been so defined and hydrated. Don’t be put off my the texture, just buy this.

For reference, I have thick 3a/3b biracial curls and live in a dry climate. I typically use a leave-in + gel (Ouidad Vital Curl) + mousse regimen. I love Camille Rose Moisture Milk so thought I'd try this. I would never call this a leave-in. It's literally the consistency of honey. It felt like putting honey into my hair. It was so sticky on my hands and hair that I had to wash it out the next day. I kept it in for a day and night to see if the stickiness went away, but it just spread. It spread onto my pillowcase, my head scarf, and it was a huge pain to wash out. I can't speak to how well this works because it just made my hair so sticky. It also smells like a jar of honey. I like sweet smelling products, but this was a lot even for me. I felt like if I wore this climbing or hiking (I live in Colorado), that insects would swarm me. It's that sickly sweet smelling. I do not recommend.
