Semi-moisturizing cleanser, caution for sensitive skin
3 out of 5 stars

I found the cleanser to be good at its job. For the most part it didn't tangle my hair up too much and lathered and foamed well. I would recommend not using too much as it can take some time to rinse out. I felt one wash was sufficient. I would expect to follow up with a conditioner to detangle. The scent was a bit strong and this along with the conditioning custard seemed to irritate my skin a bit. Usually I don't notice much irritation with Camille Rose products but this did have a somewhat strong scent compared to the love milk leave in and almond jai butter. Next time I will try using a vaseline barrier unless I find a milder and more moisturizing replacement for this product. My face seems to get irritated when I wash my hair most times but I did want to warn others who might have a similar burning/redness reaction. The scent is nice but it could be strong for some.
This shampoo feels more like a cowash to me! Lashers amazingly and gets my hair clean but it feels like you just conditioned once you rinse it out which is amazing! 10/10 willl repurchase over and over
I used it on my daughter's hair and it made her hair feel so soft. I've been looking for something that doesn't strip the hair and make it so dry and I think I've found it. Her hair was clean so it does it's job. She's a 4c girl.
I love this! I’ve been transitioning for almost 11 months so my hair gets tangled very easily and is a mess to detangle. BUT my comb went right through my hair and I was even able to finger detangle while it was in my hair and after I washed it out. Definitely stocking up on this
I really wanted to like this and use it but it just did not work for my 4B/4C High Porosity Natural Hair. I read and watched a lot of reviews before purchasing it and what drew me in was the claims about moisture. I like cleansers to leave my hair clean, not stripped and bonus if it can leave it a bit softer after. I do not think a shampoo has to condition my hair as that's not its purpose. On first try I liked how it made my curl pop and it felt pretty strengthening which was interesting because it does not contain any proteins and I have debated whether or not I like to have proteins in my hair if they help support my hair during the wash process or just leave my hair stiffer and drier, but after rinsing my hair did not feel soft like other cleansers I have used and felt in need of a good deep conditioning. The first time I followed it up with the matching Camille Rose Conditioning Custard and felt like it was not enough to put the moisture back into my coils. On second use the next week I found I did not like the feel of it in my hair, during the wash process and after cleansing as it caused my hair to tangle up quite a bit as I had a lot more tangling post wash and found it harder to detangle during the conditioning step and post conditioning when I was beginning to style my hair. I always detangle before I wash so I knew it had to be the shampoo that was causing the tangling as none of the other variables changed. I ended up returning it.
