SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo

Clean, natural ingredients is what I look for in a shampoo. I love shae moisture and how clean it makes my hair feel without any of the harsh chemicals.

This clarifying shampoo is very effective on my type 4 fine natural hair. I typically use it after a protective style or after going a few weeks without washing my hair. The packaging is good because the squeeze bottle that allows you to get all of the products that is inside. It has a sweet scent as well.

It smelled amazing but I guess there was a formula change and using it on my straight hair was not the move. It felt waxy, and stiff, and I couldn’t stand the feel. Doesn’t mean it won’t work for curly hair!

i love this for my curly hair! it makes my hair smell really good and feel soft. Packaging is simple and easy to use. A little expensive but is worth it for my hair

I switched over to this shampoo after trying many other and more expensive options. I won't go back. My hair is healthier and has gotten so long.

It cleaned my hair nicely, but I had bumps and a rash all over my scalp, first time my head was itchy, second time my scalp broke out in hives.

I have tried this shampoo in the past to help with deep conditioning my hair . It was effective and great shampoo and conditioner combo . Also was great for the split ends .

As a newcomer to this shampoo, I can't say whether the old or new formula is better. I can, however, say that I am impressed by the results using the current formula. The shampoo has a pleasant, floral and herbal scent and a rich, fine lather that felt great on the scalp. After washing, I let my hair air dry after scrunching and plopping with a microfiber towel as usual. My fine and naturally curly hair dries smooth and feels totally light and clean after using this shampoo. The first time I used it, people thought I had gotten a haircut and a professional blowout! A bit pricey for the amount in the bottle but still worth it for the results.

this jamaican black castor oil works so well for hair , scalp and i use it for my lashes sometimes and it makes them so healthy and longer than they have ever been

I’ve used this shampoo as well as the conditioner since before the new fomula and i used to love it. I would leave my hair so clean, smooth, and soft. Now, It leaves so much buildup my scalp feels disgusting no matter how many times I wash it. Also makes my scalp extremely itchy.

I have type 2C curly hair. I never cared particularly for the health of my hair, but one day I decided to "splurge" and buy this Shampoo and it's matching Conditioner. It has worked wonders on my hair! My hair doesn't tangle as badly as it did before, my hair feels softer, it absorbs water easier, and my hair dries more evenly. I will definitely keep using this!

I bought a new bottle of my favourite shampoo and was so dissapointed. I had to check here on web site what is going on as it is not as it was! My hair is dull, sculp does not feel clean, I need to wash it each day! I loved the shampoo so much that I talked about it all around and people start buying it. I have greacy hair and it solved all my issues. Now I need to find new one for me, and it took ages! Why are you changing good things !

this product is amazing for my hair the only con is that the little brown flakes in there dry on my scalp and make me think i have lice

I’ve been using this shampoo for years now. I noticed that my most recent bottle gave my hair a much more greasy feel and then I saw that they had changed the formula. I won’t be buying this product anymore.

This use to be my favorite shampoo now that they changed the formula it’s terrible. My hair has body (which I don’t mind) but it’s dry and feels like it has a residue. I’m also a hairdresser for 20 years so trust me I can see the difference. I use to recommend this to my clients. I won’t be anymore. It use to leave it shiny & healthy….not anymore. Go back to the original formula Shea!!! Its not the same anymore!

This was my only shampoo for years, but the new formula has ruined it for me. Despite advertising an improved lather, I found the new formula to barely lather at all compared to the old one. It used to be thin and spread easily and effectively, but now it feels thick and I have to use a lot more. Leaves my hair feeling weighed down and gunked up. I'm extremely disappointed, I loved this shampoo, and it took me a LOT of time and money going through different products to find one that I really liked. I'm sure it means nothing to them, but Shea Moisture lost me as a customer with this change.

This was a nice product, maybe not the best for my texture. The scent is summer yummy vanilla! I was impressed at the ingredients for the price, and it did its job.

I've bought and used this so many times. I love the brand and their clean ingredients in this castor oil shampoo. I wish this came in a huge bottle because I use it so often.

New formula leaves a horrible residue. My hair looks dull and clumpy and feels like there's residue in it. The scent is different too. It used to feel so clean and look so shiny with this shampoo, I have loved it for years. Never loved a shampoo more. Going to find a new shampoo now and I'm so sad. My hair looks and feels horrible.

I have used this shampoo for years and I have LOVED it. It leaves my hair healthy and shiny, with no residue and a great scent. I have absolutely LOVED this shampoo for so long. I have always bought it straight from Shea Moisture. Just this month I learned I can't buy it from them anymore and I have to go to Target. I figured they must have sold? I went to Target today and immediately noticed it was different because you usually have to gently shake the bottle because the ingredients separate. I saw it said "new improved creamy lather" but it always had a great lather so I was a but suspicious. I read the ingredients and noticed a bunch of ingredients that weren't in it before- random chemicals. I really love this shampoo so I bought it anyway. I just washed my hair with it a couple hours ago and it has a different scent. It's not as nice. My hair then dried and I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH RESIDUE WAS LEFT ON MY HAIR. My hair wasn't even shiny, it looked dull. I used to LOVE this shampoo bc it made my hair look so shiny and beautiful. Now it looks dull and clumpy because of all the residue left on it. I just called my friend who has been using it longer than me and we are both sadly on the hunt for a new shampoo now. I'm returning mine to Target. SAD. I LOVED this shampoo. I just had to re-wash my hair to wash this shampoo out with a different soap becasue it felt so clumpy and residue-y it was bugging me. SO SAD.
