Q: Can this be combined with Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus milk? Or will that damage my hair?

A: I've used both products singly. Based on how I feel both products worked on my hair I think they would combine well. I would be careful not to use too much of the Castor Oil Leave-in Conditioner. I did once and I could feel it was too much when my hair was dry. A little goes a long way. The Curl and Style Milk I used liberally.

You can cocktail both products as a nourishing styler and treatment. We recommend applying to towel-dried hair and working in the product as needed, so as to avoid weighing hair down.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this is the second SheaMoisture product I’ve tried that I really didn’t like. I had high hopes after enjoying one of their other products, but unfortunately, this one didn’t work for me at all. While it might be suited for a different hair type, I feel it’s important to share my experience. The scent is a major issue for me — though many people seem to love it, I couldn’t stand it. My hair is shoulder-length, straight with slightly wavy ends. The conditioner itself applied easily, it wasn’t too thick or too thin, but that sums up my positive experience. However, as a leave-in conditioner, it just didn’t work, it’s a failed concept to me. It was far too heavy for my hair type, leaving it feeling weighed down and greasy. My hair looked dirty and oily and glued almost immediately after applying it. Unfortunately, I won’t be using this product again, and I’ll be discarding it.

I purchased Shea Moisture products to AVOID harmful ingredients. Well, was I wrong!!! Now the "new formulation" adds polyquaternium-10, polysorbates, amd other toxic ingredients. These ingredients are horrible for your health and safety. They cause me to have severe skin irritations, and systemic allergic reactions. Sad to say, but Shea Moisture has really gone against what I thought they stood for. Don't buy these new formulations if you value your health, wellness, and safety!!!

This is a must-have in our hair care routine. I love the story behind this product, and what it does to help nourish our hair. The consistency is creamy and absorbs well into the hair. The scent is ok, I appreciate that it isn’t loaded with tons of perfume instead of the scent of the real ingredients. Finally, I would recommend this for dry hair that is more on the coarse side, fine hair may look too weighed down, but it is still healthy to use if you don’t mind that.

Changed my hair life. I have dry frizzy hair and could not leave the house without styling it after washing. Always had to use heat tools to maintain the frizz. Since using this product, I can go 7-10 days between washes and don’t have to touch my hair with heat or dry shampoo between. It just gets rid of my frizz and lets it air dry perfectly. Don’t need a lot of product either. I have been using this since January 2024, and still have over half a tub left in August 2024 (and I have long thick hair) Would recommend 10/10.

I'm not sure why it works so well for me but this stuff has completely changed my relationship with my hair. Both of my parents have curly hair but mine has always been very straight, VERY fine and frizzy/puffy unless I coated it in pomade. I bought this on a whim about a year ago because I have had excellent luck with every other Shea Moisture product and the trend continues here. I use it after showering and sometimes add a little more later in the day as a styling product and it has not only given me more options of what I can do with my hair (in regards to styling, length etc) but I swear it's made my hair a but thicker overall

My kids hair got chemically burnt from too much pool chemicals and this product was the only thing that restored eleasticity to their hair. I use it twice a week after washing my hair, before straightening. It smells divine and leaves my hair silky smooth.
