A: Thank you for the note. One of the key aspects to a recommendation such as this is the size of the dog. A small dog might be recommended to eat 1 to 2 per day whereas a very large dog could safely eat 3 to 4. Our chicken wrapped twists are a low calorie chew that can help satisfy your dog's innate desire to chew.

My Maltese loves them but very poor packaging, super skimpy on chicken, chicken falls off of them
My tiny little Maltese really loves these but I caution you to buy them in the store as opposed to delivery or pick up. The reason is that they are very sparsely populated with the chicken wrap and it gets knocked off easily. Whenever I have picked it up or had it shipped, it would show up with most of the chicken wrapping knocked off of it. I cannot say that it's a great value because it is so sparsely populated with the chicken wrapping and you need about six sticks just to make your dog happy for a few minutes. BUT my Maltese loves them so I continue to purchase them. I go into the store to get them now because I have received quite a few bags that got the chicken wrap knocked off by being handled and at that point they are pretty much useless. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options any longer for chicken wrapped sticks. Not that my Maltese is unusually persnickety or anything (well, I have my fingers crossed behind my back while I'm saying that) but she doesn't like almost any brand that I have presented to her so it's always been a waste of money. She enjoys these and I give her six of them, one right after another, after she finishes dinner and her supplements each night. Sometimes I'm fortunate enough to see two that are stuck together and I give those to her when I go out so that she has something to do for a few minutes to occupy her time. The ONLY reason that they do not have five stars is because the company is really skimpy on the chicken. I mean ridiculously skimpy on the chicken and the packaging is extremely poor causing the chicken to fall off. If they would be less skimpy with the chicken and have better protective packaging they'd have a five-star rating from me and a raved review with photos of my dog inhaling them.

My pit mix LOVES these treats and gets wayy more out of them than dog biscuits and trail treats. They're much more of a reward--to her--for her good behavior, they clean her teeth/help with stinky breath, and, depending on how often your dogs get treats, this one pack can last you well over a month. My dog has lived these treats for years. I noticed a new brand and packaging and didn’t think much of it until my dog started to have big time tummy troubles. It could be that she’s just getting old (12), but the coincidental timing of it all just seems fishy. Curious if anyone else noticed something similar.

Put my dogs in the hospital
These treats put both of my dogs in the emergency vet having to be put on multiple medications for extreme stomach issues because of these treats I ended up with a vet bill of $2,000

Love these chews
Yes, I know...talk to any breeder and they hate rawhide bones for dogs, but my dogs love these!! They are small in size, wrapped in chicken and they keep my dogs busy chewing on them for a bit. I've never had any trouble with them getting stuck in my dogs mouth or throat and I have been giving them for 15 years. Any other chews (bully sticks, dental etc.) are gone in a nano second. I want something that lasts a little longer and promotes chewing and helps build strong gums. These do the trick.
