Just bought the Rebel T7 , this is my 3rd canon camera that I have owned . This camera is nice , but the battery pack that came with it is terrible . The life of the battery is very short . I have never had this bad of a battery in my previous cameras . Maybe I got a “ bad “ battery , if so , maybe Canon will replace this current battery with a new one .

Great entry digital SLR camera with bright viewfinder and full manual control for students of photography. I added a Cannon 40mm 2.8 for point and shoot. But a beginner should add a 50mm prime lens IMO. Get the bulb cable for long exposures for maximum creativity. I have found manual focus useless compared to my film cameras, the autofocus just works.

Bought a month ago. Love it. I bought the refurbished camera and used the special deal to buy the 70-300mm zoom lens. I love the presets and the auto-focus. I am a total amateur and have used the presets to take some pretty good pictures. If I ever want to enter my own settings I can do so. This is a great camera for amateur photographers.

The rebel series is junk. It pries on beginners ignorance. Please don’t buy this camera. You can spend less and buy a used Canon 6D (tech from 2012) or a used Canon 7D mark ii and a nifty fifty (50mm f1.8) for $100 and get such a better setup when it comes to the shutter speed, lowlight, battery life, etc for less!
