Affordable and great for wavy hair
This is my favorite hair gel! It goes on evenly and adds great definition to my wavy hair. It helps keep frizz at bay and smells so good! It’s free of a lot of harsh ingredients that my skin is sensitive to and the price is unbeatable. Love it!

Rich and thick formula with unsuccessful results
The fragrance is delightful, and the consistency of the formula is quite rich. Unfortunately, for my coily curls, it didn't effectively tame the frizz. Initially, when I applied it, it felt like it was doing its job, but as it dried, the flyaways and frizz returned. I had high expectations for this product, but sadly, it didn't perform well for my poofy and curly hair.

When doing my toddlers curly hairstyles, the Cantu avocado styling gel is my go to product because it holds my baby’s hairstyles in place without creating any flakes ir dryness some other gels do. It also smells great and comes in a huge container so it takes a while to run out.

This product works very well along side other cantu products, which I love. The scent is light and not overpowering. The texture is smooth and not too thick, my hair loves shea butter so that’s a plus for sure. It works so well when you want to define your curls, I think it performs pretty well.

Don't like it
Smells good and that's about it. I'm a black male. My hair type is like a 4B. This made my hair dry and stiff. I also never had dandruff like this until I started using this product. So much dandruff. It claims to be hydrating. Where?? I acually started adding oil to this product because it was so drying, but I'm just going to look for something better.

Sadly this left a flakey white cast which is very visible since I have dark hair. Based off of the packaging, I wasn’t expecting an extreme hold but this barely gave me any hold and definitely did not last. I tried this many times in hopes I’d end up liking it but it just isn’t good and ended up getting tossed in the trash.
