CAROL'S DAUGHTER- FOREVER CUSTOMER
This is the best shampoo because it easily detangles my natural 4C as soon as I apply. It smells great and not overpowering. I've tried several hair products that smell nice (ex: Mielle and others) but lack performance. Every time I think a different brand will work, I always end up back with Carol's Daughter and regret trying something new. All of the products for the brand work! I am their customer for life!

Hair fell out
My hair slowly fell out over three months, so I had to shave it all off. I even got a referral for a dermatologist. It is just now that I realize that this was the only difference once I started reading all of these reviews after I just washed my hair, and it's coming out in the towel again

Dry, itchy, flaky scalp.
Formula change? I have used this for a solid year and my hair was so happy and healthy- until now. Im now dealing with severe dry scalp and dandruff. Ive never experienced this in my life. My ends are so crispy now as well. I stopped using this a few weeks ago and have noticed an improvement in my scalp already!

Mature Locs
I’m a male and I used this shampoo and conditioner on my locs over a year. What I noticed is that it is not strong enough to break down build up at the scalp. I would wash my hair thoroughly and while moisturizing I would still see build up on my scalp. I concluded that it more than likely wasn’t cleansing my locs well enough either so I switched to head n shoulders. I didn’t notice any significant loc moisturizing either. Not to say it didn’t help my locs- I just didn’t notice much of a difference. I still use the leave-in conditioners though. It’s hard to find products for locs in general.

drying and damaging for wavy hair
We use this shampoo and conditioner at the hospital for curly hair. I have wavy hair and use curly products for extra hydration. It smells amazing, but I feel like it leaves build up and weighs my hair down. My hair got really dry using these products and I’m not the biggest fan. It may just not be for me

This product thinned and dried my hair. I switched from Rosemary shampoo to this thinking it would also strengthen and thicken and no, my hair is more frail and falling in big amounts since using this, the opposite of what is advertised. Feels like postpartum head all over again.

Glad I only had a sample...
With one wash I did notice my hair felt softer and it combed thru easier, but the scent is awful. I kept trying to pin down what it reminded me of, and truthfully it reminded me of driving around in my grandfather’s smoke filled car. I thankfully have some other product I can use to try to mask that, but I don’t think I’d use this one again simply for that smell. If that doesn’t bother you, it does do the job of at least helping to comb through and style curly normally frizzy hair.

Detangle, shine and definition!
I’ve only been using this product for about two weeks, but it has decreased my hair fall in the shower by about 80%! I’ve been recovering from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and though I didn’t go bald, literally half my hair has fallen out because of the chemo; goodbye four years of growing my hair to almost waist length! Curly hair takes hostages on its way out, so for every hair that fell, five or ten more would get invited to the going away party; basically dreads were forming every week and occasionally I’d have cut them out! In the two weeks I’ve been using this, not one dread has formed! It smells amazing and given me shine and definition that my previous products didn’t. I’m super excited to see how my hair recovers its length and strength with the Goddess Strength line. Please don’t change a thing, Carol’s Daughter!

Love this stuff!
The Goddess Strength line does very well on my hair. My hair is mostly 3c and the shampoo does not dry my hair out at all. The conditioner leaves my hair extremely soft which makes detangling a breeze! I can comb right through my hair afterwards. I've been a Carol's Daughter fan for many years and this by far is one of my favorite natural hair care lines.

Very happy with this!
This shampoo (and the goddess strength conditioner I just bought somewhere else) make my hair soft and smooth. I have 2b/2c hair and I can actually let it air dry with nothing in it and it is not frizzy and thin feeling like it used to be. I can dry it curly or straight and my hair feels soft and healthy.
