A: The battery compartment is located at the base of the unit. To remove base cover, press the two grooves on either side and pull away from body. Insert 4x AA batteries. Replace battery cover by pushing it firmly on the base of the handle.

I have bought 1 before and didn’t work even with me putting the battery’s in every angle I can. I bought a second one today and still did not work. Do not buy the product. It will not work no matter how many times you buy the product. It still does not work. Spend your money on something else that’s worth it.

A good to know about batteries
I saw reviews that mentioned the batteries. In my experience, this scrubber requires regular alkaline batteries and will not work with rechargeable ones. Good to know if you, like me, use rechargeable batteries. I've only used the scrubber once but can say it works as advertised and I'm happy with it so far.

Love this for cleaning my golf clubs!
I have had this scrubber since April and there are a few tasks that have been made way easier with the help of this tool. When it is time for a deep clean of my irons the scrubber was so helpful. It removed grass stains and sand from the groves. I also love to use this around my sink and any other small narrow area of my home.

I usually dread cleaning the bathroom, but this detail scrubber has made it so much easier to tackle all those little nooks and crannies. I get a lot of soap scum buildup around my sinks and shower faucet, and it scrubs it away with hardly any effort. What I like most is how easily it fits into those awkward spots and tricky corners that a sponge or cloth can’t get into. It’s one of those tools you don’t realize you need until you have it, and now I reach for it all the time.

Battery cover pops off
Battery cover pops off! If you're even half way scrubbing you've you've got to grip the handle. The cover for the batteries pops off and of course it stops bc no power. Needs to be designed better

Great Item
I had mold and mildew on my grout that wasn’t coming off with scrubbing bubbles or Mr. Clean eraser - I tried the casabella scrubber with a pretreat of Tilex foaming cleaner for 5 minutes and my grout looks new! It even cleaned my drain and the scum build up around it. I was pleasantly surprised! I only just bought it so can’t speak to the durability but I am very glad I bought this on a whim because I was not wanting to regrout.

It didn't come with instructions
The box says to read instructions and warnings before use. However, the sealed package did not contain instructions. Another reviewer said to press the 2 buttons to access the battery location. I didn't need the buttons and I did not have an issue with the directions to install the batteries. However, now I can't get the battery cover to stay on to both sides at once. It either closes on one side or the other, but not both at once. The power switch works, but I'm leary of using it around water with partially exposed batteries. Hence, my 1-star review. I can't comment on the effectiveness of the tool as a result.
