Q: This is my first time using this product. The cream is so thick that it doesn't come out of the container without a lot of squeezing and it looks and feels like vaseline. Is this normal?

A: Yes, it looks and feels like Vaseline. It should come out of the tube somewhat thick but not as how you describe. I recommend exchanging, check the expiration date. I bought mine a few weeks back and the expiration date is 2021.

I LOVE this stuff. I have very dry, rosacea prone skin that flakes and dulls often. I tried so many expensive products and finally decided to give this a shot after my dermatologist recommend it. I do my normal nightly skincare routine, then put on the thinnest layer of this balm. Yes it’s a little greasy and it does get on my pillow a bit, but I consistently wake up with the softest, brightest, dewiest skin in the mornings! My redness has decreased and my skin is LOVING this healing balm! The tub will also last me forever, so it’s very cost effective.

For weeks my face has been so dry no matter how much moisturizer and hydrating toners and serums i would use. I tried swapping my makeup out and nothing helped, putting any amount of makeup on looked horrible and patchy because my skin was so dry and would peel. i used this healing ointment for 2 nights and by morning my skin was significantly better and less dry and peely. If you’re struggling with dry skin especially if it’s due to accutane or retinol use, add this to your night routine!! also pleeeese bring back the smaller travel sized bottle of this target!!

I had a rough nasty patch on my left elbow not sure what caused it. I have tried so many creams, lotions and even gasoline and nothing worked. I used this product once and noticed a tremendous change for better. With just a few uses my left elbow is almost normal again.thank you so much. I got a small sample of it from my doctor's office and thought why not try it. Couldn't hurt. So glad and happy I did. I just want a larger container of it now.

I love this stuff so much I only rated at four stars because it’s not cruelty free and I want to try going cruelty free I do have a few other products that are not cruelty free but I’m gonna use them and I’m not gonna re-purchase them so I do really like this. This product is a life-saver for my Accutane skin. I think I've tried 95% of lip balms on the market so far to try to heal my dry, cracked lips. This one does a great job with hydrating the dry spots on my lips and face. Although the ingredients are similar, I find it works just a little better than Aquaphor (though I love Aquaphor as well).

This ointment works great on excessively dry and even slightly cracked skin. I often slather it on my skin and then cover it up to let it absorb fully. It is greasy though so I feel it’s best to use it at night, cover the skin, and feel baby soft in the morning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this CeraVe healing ointment as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This ointment leaves your skin feeling so soft! I mostly use this product on my hands and elbows as that is where I experience dryness the most. I wash my hands very frequently, so I am always looking for a product that will keep my hands feeling hydrated and help prevent any cracking. It definitely does the job of hydrating and leaving skin feeling so soft. I loved that it lasts for a long time and doesn’t absorb too quickly. The size of it is perfect to keep in a handbag or car for on the go moisturizing! I wouldn’t say this ointment leaves your skin feeling greasy or oily. There is a slight sticky residue left on skin, but after a while you don’t notice it anymore. Overall I am impressed with this product and will keep it in my bag for when my skin needs some moisturizer!
