We suggest using the Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 50 Face Lotion which can be applied underneath makeup and water-based products. At times, if this very hydrating product is layered under or over another hydrating skincare product that has not fully absorbed into skin, it can cause the product to ball up or “pill”. To help avoid this, we recommend allowing the first product you apply in your skincare routine to fully dry and absorb into skin until it feels dry to the touch before layering on the next product. Great sunscreen for my morning routine
This is a great hydrating mineral face sunscreen. I use it every morning in my skin care routine before I put on my makeup. It doesn’t really have a scent. The only downside is it leaves a little bit of a white cast but if you rub it in well enough, it goes away. Other than that, I really like this sunscreen moisturizer.

I’ve been using CeraVe’s mineral / ceramide-rich moisturizer for a few weeks, and here’s how it’s working for me: What works well: • The hydration is really solid. The ceramides + hyaluronic acid do a good job helping my skin barrier feel more resilient. Especially helpful for dry or irritated patches.  • It’s fragrance-free, which is a relief—I haven’t had that burning or irritation some fragranced creams cause.  • The cream is rich and nourishing. If your skin’s dry, it really feels like it moisturizes deeply and lasts through the day.

Dont buy it if you dont want to look purple
In general I love Cerave and I’ve been trying different body sunscreen for a while and decided to give this one a try giving it has a nice price but honestly, I have never seen a white cast so strong as this one, I’m pale but it turned me into a blue/purple skin. The white cast is quite terrible and it doesn’t really spread well so all my pores are now white and it’s really hard to make it disappear or look less insanely white. I’m probably never in my life buying this again and I strongly wouldn’t recommend or even get rid of it giving it away to a friend because it’s really bad

Not suitable for brown and dark skintones.
On the positive note, it has no scent, and it is very hydrating. Packaging is not reliable. It leaks. The most annoying part is that it is very hard to blend into the skin, and it leaves white cast.

Not for sensitive skin!
if you have sensitive skin, do not use the sunscreen. Every place I applied it is covered in a red, hot itchy, rash. Thank God, I didn’t put it on my face. It was expensive too!

Holy white cast, Batman!
You can’t complain too much about the white cast left by this mineral sunscreen, knowing mineral sunscreens leave white casts. It is however, quite a severe cast. I take a pear size amount and rub it in as far as it will go and try to minimize the cast but. It is quite noticeable. This stuff is amazing though, I applied at 10am and did not reapply all day at the beach until 5pm and I only got burned where I missed putting the sunscreen. Has a chemical scent but i think most sunscreens do.

The abominable snowman
Makes me look like the abominable snowman. Atrocious white cast no matter how much I rub it in, and my skin tone isn't even that deep. After a while, you start to see it lift off your skin and look grainy. I will say that it does feel lightweight and not too oily, but that's about it.

Preferred mineral sunscreen with hig spf
Love this sunscreen. I prefer mineral sunscreens to the chemical ones and this one Cerave- a brand I trust is a must have since it offers a high SPF, it absorbs really well and fast into the skin without leaving a typical white cast.

Doesnt Distibute Correctly
Doesn’t rub in right, leaves very very noticeable white cast. My arm hairs are even white. Wouldn’t be an huge issue if you could rub in the product. It just sits on top of the skin where you initially put it and you can’t distribute it to the rest of it cause it.

Amazing Eczema friendly sunscreen
The other reviews are accurate; this sunscreen does leave a white cast. However, this is only true if you do not take the time to rub this in. My 14 year daughter used this at summer camp and did not get sunburned at all. On our extremely fair skin that never tans, we love this product. Highly recommend, and the white cast rubs in with minimal effort.

This sunscreen is very hard to blend into the skin and leaves a completely white cast.

Poor
I use CeraVe moisturizer for my face and have had great results. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the Hydrating Mineral Suncreen broad spectrum SPF50. It doesn't absorb well, leaves my skin looking ghostly white, and is extremely difficult to wash off in the shower. I literally have to scrub my skin to remove it. I definitely do NOT recommend this product.

Moisturizing and great absorption
At 53 I’m more aware of protecting my skin. This product feels moisturizing, nice smell, even have a packing for face(doesn’t clog my pores). Nice feel/texture , absorbs well too. Costs more but your skin’s worth it!

Confused by 5 star reviews
I read some of the positive reviews on this sunscreen and wonder if maybe I just got a bad batch because this was far and away the worst sunscreen I have ever used. It claims to be lightweight and non-greasy but it felt incredibly heavy on my skin and left a greasy white residue that took two washes with an exfoliating loofah to get rid of. And to top it all off I still got sunburned even though I was in the sun for barely 2.5 hours.

No no no
Pulling, white cast and overall stickiness of skin. I really really dislike but hate waiting products…. Will use on my neck and chest… not my face!!!
