Doesn't lather, doesn't spread, and pump is awful

It takes a lot of product to get enough to feel clean, and the pump is terrible for the consistency of the product.

An affordable brand generally and this body wash is no exception. It’s doesn’t lather at all so that may be unappealing to some. But that really wasn’t my issue. I’m used to the feeling of products that don’t sud up and I prefer them at times. The real issue was more so the pump on the bottle. I don’t know if it was just my bottle or a product defect but it would barely give me any product. I had to pump like a million times just to get even a quarter sized amount. Which is ridiculous. What I enjoyed though was that it was scentless. And after using it my skin felt smoothed and my the more bump rough textured spots on my skin were as a whole reduced in appearance surface wise. I assumed I’d face some dryness because it is exfoliating, and my body skin type is very dry but surprisingly my skin felt replenished and clean. My lotions applied on great and my skin felt luminous and hydrated.

No, this product doesn’t lather. If you absolutely need a body wash that lathers, keep looking. HOWEVER, this is the ONLY body wash that will smooth my bumpy, keratosis pilaris riddled skin!! It soothes red and bumpy areas by the next day, it is amazing. I don’t need to use it every day to achieve smoother skin. I’ll keep defending this product because it works so well for bumpy skin, it’s my holy grail product for KP!!

I bought this somewhere else and I love it. Similarly to how Cetaphil's gentle skin cleansers don't later, this body wash doesn't lather as much as a traditional body wash. It will slightly lather if you use a pouf or other means and really work it. I knew this already and it wasn't a problem. The one star reviews are unnecessary - just because something doesn't lather doesn't mean it's not working. I've been using this body wash for a month and I believe this has been helping my ingrown hair scars, dark knees, keratosis pilaris, and the dark mark from eczema on my arm. I try to leave it on as long as possible before washing it off. Weirdly, I don't mind the scent but I see how some people might find it offputting. I mix it with my scented body wash when I want to smell nicer.

Made my chicken skin go away. I even shave with it. It calmed my skin down after a bad reaction to antibiotics and this saved me. And good for a quick wash when you want one product to hit face to toe. I love pairing with cereve in shower lotion post shower
Use with a loofah for more suds

This product so far is good. I love that it is fragrance free and hypoallergenic. I feel good after using it. I see a lot of comments saying it doesn’t lather up well. I use a loofah and with two pumps it lathers up well. I can’t imagine using it with a regular rag. I could see it not sudding up as much.
Not sure if it's doing anything

I recently was told to cut fragrance from any products that I use by my dermatologist and I got this because it is fragrance-free and hypoallergenic. I don't know if it's because I got a bad batch or something but this product does not lather up at all. I wasn't expecting a super foamy lather but I was expecting something and this just felt like a lotion, I kept rubbing it in my hands, and not even a bit of foam formed.
Pump Dispenser Problematic

I like the product, nice light exfoliation without being too abrasive. My problem is with the bottle design, the pump top doesn't work correctly, each time I press down, I need to pull it back up before I can press again for more soap.

Salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide never worked on my acne. I tried for years. I bought this and my skin has cleared up. The lactic acid is perfect for my skin type. My bumpy acne skin is a thing of the past. I will forever use this. If you have dry skin make sure you use some lotion after using this!

I have rough and bumpy skin. This has been amazing for the overall texture of my skin. My skin is softer, is more even toned, and is just overall healthier. The lack of lather does not bother me because my skin feels so amazing afterwards. My only complaint is the pump is kind of difficult to use, but that won’t deter me from buying it again because it’s been so lovely for my skin.

This body was has no scent, but cleans well and can be used by anyone in your house. It helps with mild exfoliation but is not overkill. Both my husband and I can use this! I love it.

I absolutely love how this makes my skin feel. I have always had rough and bumpy skin on the back of my arms and nothing would ever make it go away. My arms are now so smooth. This works like a charm. I do however agree with the other reviewers that not enough comes out of the pump which is a design flaw but the pros totally outweigh the cons for me with how it leaves my skin.

Doesn’t lather and that gives me the impression of not feeling clean. Had to use 10 pumps for my body. Came out like lotion. Idk I guess I’ll return it :(

I do like the effects of the product; however, there are so many flaws with the design that I may reconsider buying this product in the future. For starters, the pump is impractical and does not pump enough of the product out of the bottle in a timely fashion, which makes it extremely difficult to use in the shower. The product is super thick and you need a lot of it to get it to foam like advertised (two more flaws there) and because the pump doesn’t work, I have to open the bottle and squeeze out large amounts of the product onto my hand. This is frustrating because I don’t want to sit in the shower all day pumping the crap out of bottle. And opening the bottle with the pump can be difficult to juggle because -just imagine - I’ve got a loofa in one hand and in the other trying to hold a big opened bottle with the pump still semi attached because of the tube. There’s also water dripping everywhere which I am trying to avoid getting in the bottle. You’re thinking, “why not take the pump completely out then.” No, I’m not going to take the pump out completely and set down somewhere and stick it back into the bottle after it has been cross-contaminated with whatever bacteria that was on the surface. The thickness of the product wouldn’t be so bad if the pump worked and I can deal with using a lot of the product to get it to foam if I could get the product to come out of the bottle. So bottom line, the pump or the method in which the product gets out of the bottle needs to be fixed. Oh yeah, I forgot another flaw, it smells terrible!
