Q: Are the pills scored, can they be halved?

A: Hi, thank you for your question about the Cetirizine allergy tablets. This tablet is not scored. We do not recommend tablets that are not scored be cut in half and taken in a partial dose. Cutting them in half may affect the way the product is metabolized and/or absorbed in the body. For example, a tablet that is cut in half could contain a higher concentration of the active ingredient in one piece than in the other. The only way to guarantee that the appropriate dosage is consumed and absorbed is to use the whole tablet. I tried the up and up allergy relief last year for the first time and they worked great. My allergies started up yesterday so I took one of the pills when I got home and took one first thing this morning. My nose hasn't been running and I haven't been sneezing today while at work. So I decided to order some more for this allergy season again.

Best price I’ve seen for this type of allergy medicine, and is a safer option compared to Benadryl. The name brand version of this (Zyrtec) and other the store brand versions (Walgreens, CVS, etc) charge an insane amount. Up and Up has the same active ingredients and worked just fine for me.

The packaging said they were prescription strength but they just didn't really work for me. I took them some days morning and then other days in the evening. I live in an area with high levels of tree and grass pollen. I suffer from spring allergies and get itchy eyes, throat and a stuffy nose. I wanted to like these, but these pills just weren't strong enough to relieve symptoms.
