Q: does anyone have a 2024 mazda cx-5 and does this fit?

A: I'm using this in a 2019 cx-5 and it fits fine. I think 2024 should be similar. Currently using it rear facing so there's limited space for the person sitting in the front. My wife is 5'2" and it tight up front. Hopefully when we switch to front facing is when there's more space for the front seat to slide back. The cx-5 cabin is on the smaller side
submitted bymjpaws - 4 months agoA: I sometimes use it it in a 2018 Mazda CX5 and it fits but it’s tight. The passenger seat is farther up than I would like but both my husband and I are tall (5’10” and 6’1”) We have yet to find a car seat that fits comfortably in the Mazda.

The Fit360 ClearTex Rotating Convertible Car Seat does have the Latch System and can be installed using this method.

A: No. It can be moved between cars but there is no handle and it would be extremely difficult to do with the child in the seat. I don’t believe there is any way to move the seat with the child in it.

A: Our magnetic buckle comes right apart. And, my 10 month old can easily open it. We cannot use this car seat anymore. Would not recommend! Love everything else so very bummed to have this happen but it’s very unsafe.

A: No. The magnetic buckle easily comes apart and my 10 month old can also easily open it. It’s very unsafe. Love this seat but now we cannot use it bc the magnetic buckle does not stay securely closed.

A: The magnetic chest closure does not securely close. It breaks open very easily and my 10 month old can easily open it. Very dangerous. Love everything else about this seat. This was a major mistake made by Chicco when engineering this seat. It seems quick and easy but safety wise it makes the whole seat useless. Very disappointed. Would never recommend this seat unfortunately.

This seat is a NIGHTMARE. My newly 2 year old daughter climbs out of this before I can get the car out of the garage. Each trip involves me pulling over multiple times. The chest clip is WAY TOO EASY to unclip, and the bottom is, too. She can unbuckle both spots within seconds. I went back to my old chicco...even though it is expired, it is still safer than having her CLIMB OUT while driving, which has happened many times. I wish I could return this seat and get something safe.

Belt path breaking

The car seat has worked great so far. But I’ve only had it seven months and now there’s an area in the belt path of the base where the plastic is bending. This is a major safety issue. The belt path should be secure and not able to easily start bending under the pressure of the seatbelt. I’ve included pictures which show the whitened area where the plastic is losing its integrity, how easy it is to bend that belt path section away from the base now, and with the plastic pressed into the original position the belt path was in. I’ve not yet contacted Chicco customer service regarding a replacement under my warranty. Even then, I’ll be using this as a back up seat and trying a revolving seat from a different brand.

I wanted to love this car seat…and right out of the box I did! My baby fit perfectly, the buckles were great, the swivel super cool and the base install was super easy. BUT then I went to put the seat on the base and realized that in my Escalade there was no way the seat was going to fit reclined enough for my 6 month old. It was too big front to back. Super sad! If it fits on your car I would def recommend because it was easy to use and felt comfortable for my baby.

Magnetic chest clip can easily be opened by my 10 month old. The magnetic closure is not sturdy and is not child proof. My child will not leave it closed and we have to stop using this car seat bc of it. Love everything else but unfortunately this is a huge deal and the car seat is now very unsafe.

I am able to fit this comfortably rear facing in my Mazda CX70. My daughter loves this car seat. We have traveled with this seat and she has been able to sleep without any issues. I have tried to clean it yet so I’m not sure if it’s going to be difficult. If you’re worried about that I would upgrade to the zip 360 option.

Seat is nice. Features are great. Relatively easy to use. However the seat is HUGE recommend use in an SUV truck or minivan. My sedan is a tight squeeze and the passenger must move the seat forward to accommodate the car seat in a rear facing position. The lock up mechanism seems very secure if not overkill. Will definitely keep the seat in one spot when properly installed.
