Q: Is this car seat compatible with the Chicco Bravo stroller? Chicco says it fits ALL their strollers but I highly doubt it fits strollers from the 1960s. What is the actual cutoff for stroller compatibility?

submitted by WSoderberg - 1 year ago

  • A: All of our infant car seats are compatible with the Bravo Stroller. This includes the newer versions as well as the older versions of the Bravo Stroller which were first introduced back in 2014. The attachment points on the stroller and the connectors on the infant seat all match up.

Q: Is this compatible with any double infant strollers, like the baby trend snap n go? Looking for something like the key fit caddy but for two infant car seats.

submitted by Kate - 1 year ago

  • A: The KeyFit Max ClearTex Infant Car Seat is compatible with any of our strollers. We do have a variety of double strollers that are compatible. We do not recommend using our infant car seats with strollers manufactured by another company. They have not been tested and approved by us and we do not know how they will interact. This may cause a safety concern.

Better than the $$$ Nuna seats

My baby likes this 1000x more than the $800 Nuna Rava. We bought the Rava, and she cried every time. The Chicco is more comfortable, and with the detachable option and sun cover, she is cozy, safe and didnt cry once. Save yourself money on the fancy, expensive car seats and get this newborn car seat instead!

Moms of KeyFit Max does not equal KeyFit 30

I used Chicco with all three of my kids. With my first two, I had the Keyfit 30 and was very happy with the car seat/stroller all around. This third time around, I didn't realize I got a different version - the Keyfit Max. Two things to point out - the keyfit 30 bases I saved in my garage for years are not compatible with the Keyfit Max, which was disappointing, so I had to buy all new bases for us and our two sets of parents. The other point is weight - I have had this car seat for 3 months and I couldn't stop thinking how much heavier it seemed this time around. I thought it was me being out of shape or something, but no, this seat is in fact 11 pounds in weight vs 9.5 pounds previously. I will say it is a noticeable difference, and if I had known, I would have at least considered something else. If you are a fan of the Keyfit 30 like I was, I would just warn you to seek out the Keyfit30 over the Max if possible or check the weight specs.

Love chicco

Only downfall is its heavy, but heavy to me means extra protection for baby so that's ok! Easy to install, comfy for baby and clean fabrics.

Love it

I have been using this for 3 months now. Really great and easy to use. Love that it has the cleartex fabric. No issues and would buy again. I see review complaints of the canopy but mine is great so not sure why others have had issues? Maybe not installed correctly by them

It’s a very nice comfy car seat especially when they are so fresh and tiny as newborns. I don’t like the sunshade, it is difficult to carry the car seat with the shade down at the same time and the shade is always getting stuck. Seems cheap.

Don't like it.

The unlatch button to remove the seat from the car is in the worst possible placement. It’s like no one bothered to test that out before mass production.

Best Car Seat

We have been a Chicco family for years. This car seat is easy to install and we love the new feature of a one hand adjustment for the handle. The quality is always super with Chicco.

My thoughts & experience

I have used this product for three weeks now. During the first week, the Canopy Frame (a plastic piece that holds up the visor/canopy) broke under normal use. I would appreciate it if Chicco could use better plastic so this isn't an issue. Design-wise, I'd also try to relocate or re-design the ambidextrous Easy-adjust handle button as when holding, you may accidentally engage the button. This has not posed a safety hazard to our child but is annoying to encounter. Overall, I would still purchase this product again and this post serves as recommendations to the design team.

Obsessed!

Love Love Love this car seat, so light weight which i was looking for, I had a doona car seat/stroller system and it was unbelievable heavy. It was not practical for everyday use. So I got this car seat hoping it was lighter and much easier so use (especially when putting car seat in and out of the car). It clicks into my chicco lightweight bravo stroller that was gifted to me and I am obsessed!! So easy to click in and out of the stroller and so easy to click in and out of the car. My baby looks very comfortable in it!

Everything but the canopy

Overall seems like a good car seat, but I am not at all impressed with the canopy. It does not pull tight and is very droopy. I already confirmed with support that this is correct so a little disappointed in that being that I will be using the canopy constantly.

Great Car Seat!

What a great product! Easy to use and install, as well as, easy to get on and off the base. The material is durable and the car seat is very well made, with the bonus of being easy to wipe off!

Highly recommend!

We absolutely love our Chicco infant car seat! We are onto baby #4 and got rid of all our Graco products and are officially a Chicco family! The fabric is soft yet durable (and easy to clean, which is a huge plus). The sleek design is just the cherry on top. It is lighter weight than our previous infant seat but sturdy, I’d recommend this to any new parent looking for a reliable, stylish, and safe car seat!

Easy to Install!

I am very happy we decided to go with this product. We are first time parents and were very worried about the difficulty of installing a carseat, but it is very easy to use and install (which is great as we swap cars often). We love this carseat!
