Have been buying these for years—the last few months these arrived looking stained (like grease stains) and just dirty. The last ones look like someone drove over them & the sides aren’t even cut completely. What happened to your quality?? Very disappointed.

These plates are horrible. The reason for the two stars is that they are sturdy, but the leak through. Better off buying Dixie.

Hi! No one likes a soggy party, and this one is on us. Chinet Classic® plates and bowls are made from pre-consumer recycled material and pressed into form. We love using recycled materials, but it means we are constantly re-evaluating and optimizing the manufacturing process. Because of that, you didn't get our best product, and we apologize. We are working to correct the issue. In the meantime, feel free to contact a representative by email at MyLife@mychinet.com or call 1-800-847-4129. Thank you!

Been buying the dinner plates for years and enjoyed the quality. Now they absorb liquids and tear easy! What did Chinet change? We use them more than regular plates

Ope! Sounds like a party foul on our part. Here's the truth—Chinet Classic® products are made from pre-consumer recycled material and pressed into form. We love using recycled materials, but it means we are constantly re-evaluating and optimizing the manufacturing process. Recently, all Chinet Classic® molded fiber tableware transitioned to a new Oil & Grease Resistant (OGR) barrier technology. Because of that, you didn't get our best product, and we apologize. We are working to correct the issue. In the meantime, feel free to contact a representative by email at MyLife@mychinet.com or call 1-800-847-4129. Thank you!
I’ve used Chinet for decades but the package I just bought is disgusting with dirt and grease looking spots all over them. Not sure what the problem is but no one I care about is eating from these plates.

This is second package of plates I bought that the plates have BLACK marks on them. I appreciate the recycle effort but no one wants to eat off of plates that appear to be dirty!! I had to look thru all the plates to find some that were even presentable for our party guests. I won’t be buying these again! The pictures don’t do them justice. All of the plates have marks on them. Almost like someone with dirty hands has handled them. It’s ridiculous for the price you pay to get this.

Chinet dinner plates are a staple in our home. Have used this brand for 10+ years. Lately the quality is very poor, foods soak through and are weak. I don’t know if the mfr has changed the formula but they need to review the sturdiness of this product

The quality is not what it has been. The plates bend, liquids and grease leak thru, knives cut right thru. Having to use more than one plate defeats the purpose of paying for Chinet. I will be using melamine outdoors and regular dish ware indoors going forward. Very disappointing

I bought these plates on 3/13 opened them up to put them away and seen at least 3 of them dirty, I was so disgusted I threw them away because I wasn’t about to look and check if the other 200 were clean when they are supposed to be to begin with! A shame and waste of money. Sorry for only one photo , but that one should be enough!

New package- stained plates

I have bought Chinet plates for years. Nothing could compare to them. I have noticed quality waning in the last few months. Just opened a huge package of lunch size plates and almost all of them are worn or stained. One was warn so thin one part it had a hole. How is a new package of plates stained? I really don’t want to use the flimsy cheap plates, but this is creepy. I attached some photos, but it’s hard to see.

The quality of these plates has declined drastically in the several last months. So disappointed because these have always been our go to paper plates. Everything leaks through now no matter what you’re eating.

Have purchased Chinet Plates for 20 years or so. Have been buying them in large quantities for years. For a year or two the quality has been getting worse and worse. Looks like grease stains from machinery perhaps, along with foreign matter pressed into the plates plus ripped edges and now plates just coming apart with yellow stains. Had to toss just about entire package out this time so won't be purchasing them again. Either machinery needs an overhaul or perhaps the issue may be quality control.

I typically LOVE Chinet, but the quality has gone down in the past few months. My parents used them when I was a kid and now I use them for my own family, but they aren't what they used to be. They are no longer as durable. I have noticed with the last two packs that i bought that there was significant leakage, and I've had to use 2 plates at a time. That completely defeats the purpose of using Chinet. If i have to use two plates, then i may as well switch to a cheap brand and save my money. I'm so disappointed in Chinet.
