Q: why does the label information for this item not list the added sugar as an ingredient?

submitted by Redwoody - 3 years ago
  • A: The added sugar found in our Chobani® Oatmilk products are produced through the natural process with enzymes used to break down the oats. This produces a mildly sweet taste that perfectly complements your coffee, cereal, or smoothie. According to the FDA, sugars produced by this process are considered added sugar and must be declared on the label, but not as an ingredient. In our Plain and Plain Extra Creamy drinks, there are no other sources of added sugar. In Vanilla, we do add just the right amount of cane sugar to complement this classic flavor.

Q: Is this no longer made with Organic oats? For the last year it said "Made with Organic Oats" right along the top, but it no longer shows that.

submitted by addabrada - 4 years ago
  • A: At Chobani, we’re committed to delivering our delicious, natural, nutritious and accessible options to people wherever they live, work, or play. We’ve found that making a high-quality product didn’t mean that we had to be organic and had access to a more plentiful supply of quality oats to make our oatmilk. Because we’re committed to making sure we deliver on quality, nutrition, and affordability, we’ve switched to conventional oats. Rest assured we will always hold our suppliers to the highest standards you expect from Chobani.

Weird taste

Chobani Oatmilk used to be the only milk my lactose-intolerant toddler could tolerate. It was perfect for her daily routine and lately it has an odd aftertaste and she refuses to drink it 😭. I don’t know if the recipe was changed, but it doesn’t taste the same at all. Families like mine relied on this product, and it’s heartbreaking to lose something that worked so well.

Chobani makes the best oatmilk around. The vanilla, regular, and extra creamy are all worth trying. This thicker one is good for lattes or making vegan cream based recipes. Chobani raisd the price though, so I usually don't buy this unless I feel like splurging. And I wish Target offered Delivery on the "Regular" version.

Overall good milk but I don’t prefer this because of the added seed oils. The consistency is a little oily for me and the taste is ok. The texture is good and the packaging is good as well.

Did they change the quality for this? I used this for years. The last two times I bought it, I noticed it’s not as creamy and more watery. I buy oatmilk for my lattes and it does not make the creamy foam texture anymore. I thought maybe the first time I bought a bad batch but nope. No more Chobani oatmilk, I will buy another brand from now on.

Used to be the best. Now a thin, oily, tragic mess

I have been a loyal customer for years, using the Chobani extra creamy in my coffee every morning and for cereal, tea, etc. The recent recipe change has made this oat milk inedible. It is thin, oily (yes, quite literally leaves a film of oil on top of my coffee that I have to skim off with a spoon), and has a horrible taste. I used to sing the praises of this oat milk to anyone who would listen. I will now be throwing away the remainder of my most recent carton (yes, it's that horrible) and going to the grocery store to find another brand. Seeing as I am quite clearly not alone in this opinion on the recipe change, Chobani would be foolish to not go back to the old recipe.

Chobani Oatmilk Extra Creamy is such a delicious plant-based option! 🌾🥛 It’s super smooth, rich, and really does live up to its “extra creamy” name—perfect for coffee, cereal, or baking. I love that it’s dairy-free, gluten-free, and nut-free, making it a safe choice for lots of different diets. The packaging is also fun and easy to spot on the shelf. A great alternative if you’re looking for a wholesome, naturally made oatmilk!

Dissapointing Change

This WAS the best oat milk for coffee hot or iced. It made my iced coffees and espressos so good until they changed the recipe. It no longer makes the coffee creamer. It is a watery oat milk providing no creaminess and the need to use more product. I now have to use Oatly FULL FAT version. That is the closest to the creaminess that this use to be Everything else I’ve tried is too watery.

The new recipe sucks. Took me a week or two to figure out what was going on. The new batch is watery and bland - like most other oatmilk. No creamy mouthfeel or rich flavor, doesn’t foam, has an off-putting flavor when steamed. I’ve stuck to Chobani extra creamy for years, but I’m looking for an alternative.

Good replacement for milk if you are lactose intolerant. Flavor is good and taste like your drinking oats. Texture is a little watery but that's fine.

This was my go to oat milk for years. It tasted far superior to any oat milk I had ever tried. I used it in place of coffee creamer and grew to prefer it to coffee creamer. I purchased a large bottle of regular dairy half-and-half a few months ago for a recipe. That got me hooked back onto regular creamer for a while, but I started gaining weight and figured I should switch back. The HORROR when I realized the original extra creamy recipe was no more! It’s so unsatisfactory! I thought at first maybe it was just my taste buds readjusting back to oat milk from creamer, but then knew something had to be wrong. I looked online to find that the recipe has been changed a few months back and now I’m so sad! Is watery and doesn’t froth like every other oat milk now. No reason to buy it!

Chobani has exceptional products, and oat milk is definitely one of them. The vanilla has a rich and smooth taste, and is perfect for my morning coffee! The price is amazing for the quality. I also enjoy that it is a healthier alternative to regular milk.

Review of Chobani Vanilla Oatmilk I recently tried Chobani Vanilla Oatmilk, and I must say, it's perfect with matcha. The vanilla flavor complements the earthy tones of matcha beautifully, creating a smooth and delightful beverage experience. While I found it to be a great pairing with matcha, I haven't specified my overall rating or its texture characteristics. However, if you're a matcha enthusiast looking for a creamy, flavorful oatmilk to elevate your drink, Chobani Vanilla Oatmilk is definitely worth trying.
