Chuckle & Roar Family Dominoes

Good quality, good to teach young kids the basics. Bad design. Spot colors correspond to image colors, so can read one side from the other. 5 yr old figured it out very soon.

These dominos are cute, and I love that one side has pictures on it for littles who can’t count yet. However, there are not enough tiles in the box to keep the game going for very long.

Love that these have two sides because the range of ages that can play is wide. Both of my kids love them so much.

Purchased to play with my niece (she’s 4) and we had so much fun. Pieces are lightweight (so you can put in a baggy and carry around if you’re on the road) and I liked the glossy finish on them. We stuck to using the animal side because it was her first time playing, and I think it works great when trying to introduce the rules of dominoes to a kiddo (first with the matching drawings, then with the dots). Once she gets a hang of things, we’ll upgrade to a traditional dominoes set with waaay more pieces for a proper game. For now this does the trick.

But wishing I had! My complaint is the same as those before me. It took 1 whole time of playing for my 6 year old to notice the animals and numbers match. These are utterly pointless. Feeling extra frustrated as these were one of her Christmas gifts and now have to be returned.

I know many people have already said this but i added a picture. (The cat is 0 dots, the bunny is 1 dot, the dog is 2 dots, the lion is 3 dots, the girrafe is 4 dots, the alligator is 5 dots, and the tiger is 6 dots.)

Would not recommend. Such a good idea but a failure in execution. They didn’t randomize the two sides, so you always know what’s on the other side by looking at the back. Why would you not mix that up?

Needs to be printed differently. The animals on the front match the color and numbers on the back. So it's impossible to not cheat. It's a pain to play with little kids because they automatically go for the color of the animal they need when choosing from the deck; and just impossible for adults to play. Will be returning

The animal pictures are such a great idea and my 4 yr old is loving it! However, as soon as she realizes that the numbers (dots) coincide with the animal pictures on the other side, it will be very difficult to play a real game without cheating (I know what’s on the other side and can’t draw randomly, it’s really easy to figure out what tiles the other player has even when you’re not trying to, etc).

Quality is good, pictures are cute, but the numbers and pictures match (cats are 0, bunnies are 1, etc) so adults can easily cheat. My 4yo is already figuring them out.

Super cute, and my three year old was able to join in and play. We really enjoyed this game for our no electricity Wednesday, but the paint chips off incredibly fast. After about three Wednesdays we can no longer use it.

It is perfect for pre readers to play! Very Fun and good for learning!

Love the idea and this brand but came out peeled already.

These Family Dominoes are a great new twist on the classic dominoes game. Fun to play with the older kids who know their numbers, but also great for the younger ones so they don't feel left out while we're playing! And also high quality wooden pieces!

Picked this up for my family game night and it was a hit! The animal dominos were perfect so that our pre-reader could play too!

The picture/image was already damaged. As peeled off I wish it was made of a better quality. Will return this one….

We are really happy we purchased this set …. Great for our 4 and 7 year olds!
