Decent kit but frosting is tricky
I bought a few these last year for cheap and kept in freezer for this year. I had low expectations. But none were cracked. The first house went up easily with no issues, the next two the frosting wouldn’t dry. It still made the process easier but I would make own frosting next time just in case or use hot glue

My advice is that you open up the box and look inside and make sure it's not broken before you buy it. My grandkids were so excited to do these, but it took us four broken boxes to finally find one not broken. Good luck!

Falls apart
They need to go back to the lab to work on the frosty. It does not keep the house together or they need to provide a base that is molded to keep the gingerbread house together. The frosty does not hold the house together. My son was very disappointed this is the second year this has happened with the same gingerbread house.

Garbage gingerbread kit! Pieces wouldn’t stick together. We bought three kits for our kids and they are all just in a pile of pieces. My kiddos are super disappointed. Come on target!

Hot glue this sucker together to make it easier.
If you do this, hot glue your house together first. Then use the frosting to cover glue. Frosting does not hold house together and it will fall. Frosting did hold candy in place until end of the month. Because I hot glued it together, it left me with a bunch of frosting and I was able to get creative. I also purchased cupcake toppers to add to it. It was fun. Can't wait to do it again.

Incredibly disappointing. One of the roof pieces was broken. "Gingerbread" walls easily chip. Icing tastes disgusting and would not set. I gave the house 15 minutes, reconstructing after multiple collapses and then I was done. Waste of $12.

Big Bag of Disappointment
These are horrible! We ordered 10 and every single one was full of broken cookies. The grandkids all were disappointed. We ended up throwing them away. Target won’t take back FOOD items. What a waste of $120! If you need broken gingerbread cookies and thin frosting that won’t hold or if you want to offer a big bag of disappointment, look no further!

Damaged upon arrival.
This was shipped to me and over half of the pieces were broken inside. We tried to use the icing as a glue to put them back together but there was just too much damage. You also had to mix the red dye together with the icing which I found annoying Very disappointing.

This was a waste, and I wouldn’t recommend. Wouldn’t stay together, and not enough icing to even try and get it to stay together. Would not repurchase. Very disappointed.
