Uses for the treatment of acne

Directions

Directions Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer, massage gently one to two minutes, and rinse thoroughly with water one to three times a day. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a doctor.

    Not a Cerave Dupe

    I was hoping this would be a dupe for the Cerave cleanser so I could save some $$, but let me tell you, this is NOT a dupe. I used Cerave daily and this I have to use on a more limited basis because it drys my face out so much and I have never broken out more than I have using this! I used to have the clearest skin and now my skin breaks out weekly! I’ve been using this product for about 3 months and thought it would get better, unfortunately it hasn’t and I’ll definitely be going back to Cerave!

    NOT like Panoxyl

    I’ve been using the Panoxyl 4% benzoyl peroxide wash in conjunction with my tretinoin with absolutely no skin barrier issues. I was still getting the occasional blemish on Tret so used Panoxyl in the AM and had clear smooth skin. I ran out and decided to use this face wash instead to see if I could save myself a buck or two…enter the worst breakout I have ever had. I’m talking cystic acne all over my cheeks, chin, forehead, it was WILD. I’ve NEVER had acne like this before. I discontinued using and started again a few weeks later thinking maybe it was a different product. Nope, it was this! Same exact breakout happened. Not sure how this could be SO different from Panoxyl to warrant a breakout like this, but in the trash it goes.

    Why am I learning about this NOW!

    Great budget friendly cleanser

    I’m using this cleanser on my face, armpits, entire body, and feet. I initially used this for controlling odor but ended up loving how gentle and multifunctional it is. The foam is nice with water and hands. I use a foam net to save the product and create thicker foam. It also helps control my bacne and facial hormonal breakouts when I’m on my period. It has a type of ceramides in the ingredient list, which is a great thing. I use Aveeno daily body wash as second cleanse to offset the dryness benzoyl peroxide could possibly cause. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re on a budget or if you want lower concentration but still want a foam cleanser.

    Affordable and it works!

    I am a 50 year old woman who recently had some hormonal breakouts. I was dealing with little bumps on my forehead and visible pores on my nose and cheek area. I attempted to go back to Proactive but was not having the positive results that I used to get when using it in my 30’s.     Dont buy!!

    I’d like to start this off with stating that I do not have sensitive skin or acne prone. This face wash broke me out so bad it was awful. I’ve never had some many active breakouts from a single product.

    Sebitive skin

    I generally shy away from benzoyl peroxide cleansers, but my face needed a little kick to clear the acne. I’ve got a lot of allergies and highly sensitive skin, and have been dealing with an eczema breakout on my eyelid, and this did not dry out the skin or strip away moisture. I did follow up with a moisturizer with ceramides to help with that though. It seemed to clear up the small bumps I had on my cheek, and didn’t further irritate my eyes! Pretty good!

    Great acne wash

    Like this acne wash. It doesn’t leave me feeling as if my skin is dry. The foam action makes me enjoy using it and the fact that it’s fragrance-free leaves me comfortable that I don’t have a chemical odor after using it. So far(a few weeks) the results have been good.

    Great acne wash with fantastic price

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this acne cleanser for about a week and a half now. I like it so far, it doesn’t make my face itself feel dried out, but it did get a little dry around my nose area but my moisturizer took care of that. I love how the formula foams up and I also like that it is fragrance free, that is a big plus for me. I have used other products in the past and the price on this is super affordable, especially since I only use a little with each wash so this will last me quite a while. I received an incentive to write this review.

I love the cost savings of this generic version for the name brand and this up and up generic has the same ingredients as the name brand! It lathers nicely and I have noticed it has helped with quickly that some of the acne spots on my face. I also use this on my back or any area that is prone to acne. I didn’t find this face wash drying at all. This works just as well, if not better, than the name brand, plus you save money by buying the up and up brand!
