Q: is this good for oily skin?

A: I have very normal skin and have used the Up and Up version of Neutrogena Face Wash until Target came out with this garbage, prior to that I use Neutrogena since my teen years and I’m now in my 40s. I’ve been using this for 8 to 9 weeks, and have broken out around my face consistently every week. Also it smells really bad.

I bought this thinking an inexpensive way to get a cleanser with salicylic acid and I think it's is a great price. My issue is the terrible smell of it. I think it's suppose to be unscented but this smells awful. I tried to use it and not let the smell bother me but couldn't do it. so I returned it. If you don't like unpleasant smells skip this and get something else. I would describe the smell but it's not like anything I've smelled before. It's just awful.

i have used this face wash only a total of two times and my face burned for a few minutes after trying it both times and there are small red bumps on my cheeks. i have sensitive, oily and acne prone skin so i thought i’d give it a try but i definitely wouldn’t recommend it if you have sensitive skin!

It cleans my face enough to not feel oily in the morning or after a long day. I got this for the occasional hormonal acne. However, since I started using it my chin has broken out so bad. I’m 27 and have never had acne before now like this. I don’t think this is effective, it is quite the opposite for me.

I have combination skin, and had bumps and acne on my face. After using it I noticed it would burn and dry out my already oily face. My face was peeling and burned and was so sensitive. I ended up with more problems than before! Do not buy this if you have sensitive, dry or combination skin, etc.

This is absolutely the most disgusting face wash I’ve ever used. I am a long time neutrogena consumer and would purchase the Up and Up brand religiously, probably every 6 weeks. Suddenly they no longer carry it, despite it being an active product made by the OG. Per the associate, this monstrosity replaced it. First of all, the color is immediately off putting. Second the smell is absolutely nauseating, it can’t even be described. It smells so bad. My skin is not left feeling fresh and clean after I wash, I’ve read other reviews about it. sudsing, it makes me wonder if they know what bubble suds are. This doesn’t suds at all. It just slaps around on your face. Even consulted the Doctor Who agreed. Aside from it, not even making you feel like your face is clean or doing the job It’s intended to do, it also will make you break out. I repeat it will make you break out. I don’t even think the positive reviews here are made by actual consumers, I think they’re made by target to make you buy. I’ve been using the same wash for 20+ years. When you change or stop carrying a wash, it impacts someone’s skin regimen. The active ingredient may be the same but something else is different and it’s causing the very thing it’s supposed to prevent - Acne. I had my skin in a good place, since using (8+ weeks), I’ve consistently broken out near my hair line, chin, nose. Getting a blemish is expected but getting them consistently or reoccurring is not and it’s at the fault of a very bad product. For those like me who liked the Up and Up version, W*lmart has one and it’s actually cheaper that the Up and Up. I’ve almost completely stopped buying all of my toiletries at Target because they’re cheaper there.

This face wash SUCKS! I have very oily, acne-prone skin. After a day at the fair, I used this on my skin to clean it and remove the dirt and oil. I woke up with white heads ALL OVER MY SKIN! Do not buy this product expecting it to clean your skin. Hated this and will be throwing it away!

I I did not like this cleanser at all I hated this cleanser never will reach for it again. I actually threw it out. I was about to bring it back to target and be like I need my refund. This cleanser is horrible. It doesn’t leave your face for the clean it makes your face feel very oily and it makes you feel like your face is on fire and you end up with a rash and then end up with more pimple then you start with . I say no good. I say leave it on the shelf and don’t buy it.
