Q: I’m so confused! Rinse off or not?! Directions tell us to rinse off. I applied as face wash but doesn’t seem right, not foamy and kind of just feels like lotion as I’m rinsing off.

A: We just bought some because we were out of the Neutrogena one we had. Exact same thing but Neutrogena says to cleanse face first then put it on. So no rinse. Target needs to fix their directions. Lol

A moisturizer with salicylic acid should not be used as a face wash. While salicylic acid is a common ingredient in both cleansers and moisturizers, they are designed for different purposes and should be used accordingly. Q: Is this supposed to be sealed? There was no little metal piece to remove (when you twist off the top) when I got it.

Q: I keep getting mixed answers, do you rinse it off after applying to face or leave it on. On the product itself it says to rinse off, but others say to keep it on.

I can’t speak on long term effects but first impressions are it absorbs great and leaves my skin soft. You only need a small amount! About the smell, I don’t know if y’all got a bad batch but it smells completely normal?? There’s no added perfumes like another reviewer said so there’s literally no smell, it smells like nothing. Maybe like a unscented lotion if I had to compare? Don’t let those reviews scare you 😅

If you have sensory issues with smells, stay away from this. It smells repulsive. I don’t know why it smells so awful but you can smell it the entire time it’s on your face. It smells like melted plastic mixed with old milk and chemicals. It’s very runny and also sticky and you will have hair stuck to your face as well.

I was in need of a new facial moisturizer and ordered this one from Target. Typically, I love Up&Up products, but I am so disappointed with this moisturizer. It has the most vile smell! And the smell sticks around all day! Even after putting my makeup on, all I can smell all day is the horrible scent of this moisturizer. If I had to find another smell to compare it to, I would compare it to vomit.

I almost didn’t get this product based on the reviews about the odor, but it really isn’t that bad. It’s just a strong unscented smell. I use this moisturizer as a primer before my foundation and I really like it. My face is smoother and glows more than before. The only thing I don’t like is having shake it before use but that’s just a minor thing. I would recommend!

This moisturizer smells SO disgusting. I’ve used plenty of non scented and salicylic acid products. Neither of them have ever smelled this terrible. I sniffed it at first, couldn’t smell it. Then as soon as I put it on my face, it smelled as if I put curdled milk all over. Instantly washed it off and washed my face all over again—without adding this product. Save yourself some money.

My husband has terrible acne, tried every treatment, serums, exfoliants on the market. But this is by far the best thing to help with his complexion. I've been applying this on his back for the last two weeks and the results are incredible. The smell is nothing in comparison to the help it has done for my husband. I have no need for an acne treatment; I don't know why this was the option available as a special gift. And then my order was delivered to someone else; so when I told you and the rest of my order was resent they included another tube of this acne medicine. Unfortunately, they will both end up in the trash, as I doubt you want it back.

There is a smell and it is the active acid. If you've tried many acne ridders then you know what to expect. I absolutely love that it is NOT oilh at all! You can even rinse the product off your fingers after application and not need to thoroughly wash your hands with soap or rub off. Highly Recommend! Great for teens & adults. FYI the smell at first application may come on strong if you are not used to it BUT it does fade away the longer you wear it. My skin loves it and I suffer from Oily skin!!! Thanks Target!

I never write reviews, but this product was *that* bad. The smell hits you immediately—like sour water or something that's gone bad. It's extremely pungent the moment it touches your hands. Honestly, it’s probably no coincidence this was the FREE July Target Circle offer. I ended up returning it to the store *even though it was free*—that should tell you everything. I do **not** recommend this product. The formula needs serious attention. Target’s category manager should really work with the manufacturer to reformulate. There’s no way this should be on shelves in its current state.

This is one of the two best lotions I have used in my 40+ years (the other one is discontinued). It is designed to be weightless and free of artificial or added fragrance, and help treat skin conditions without further irritating the skin. It sinks into the skin without excess rubbing. It is not a cream, if that’s what you’re looking for. Regarding scent, the very light smell of it is the smell of the ingredients (not mold as other reviewers have suggested). If you’re familiar with fragrance free products in general, you’ll likely recognize the scent as such. It’s an indication that masking fragrances were not used. I have a wildly sensitive sense of smell and get migraines and allergies from fragrance, and for me the scent is barely noticeable and does not cause me any discomfort. Please, Target, keep making this! And a larger pump bottle size would be awesome!
