COAST EAL22 1250 Lumen LED Emergency Lantern: Impact-Resistant Camping Light, Weather-Resistant, Battery-Powered

When I bought this it was advertised as light and battery pack. Web site was misleading and only received light. If you’re going to run a promotion you shouldn’t use tricks not to honor promotion

I use these eal 22 on a daily basis did i mention how great they are. They provide much light to get the job done and if its not quite bright enough then take off the lens cover and you have a lantern on a whole new level. Used in dark rooms, around the ranch, birthing animals is great with much needed light in some adverse conditions. During monsoons when we lose power. Thank you coast for developing a lantern that provides much needed light without breaking the bank, and i always use the zx1010 rechargeable batteries.

We have a couple of these for when the power goes out, in the winter mostly. We appreciate they are the brightest and longest lasting, that is, using the rechargeable battery, that we have found.

This came in clutch last night while doing drone thermal roof inspections in a pitch dark area. It allowed me to find all my gear and work hands free from holding a flashlight. I think I need to upgrade my rechargeable batteries however because my unit was flickering with non Coast branded rechargeable D batteries. But I am in love!

Well I put the batteries in correctly and I can get the power light turn green but no lantern light . A shame because it seemed like it would be a good light .

All around great plus damaged item was teplaced immediately

They are very durable and handy. We use them for camping, working in the dark crawl space under the house, and the kids love it for reading books before bed time.

I bought 3 of these lanterns and they are still in the box. One will be a birthday gift to our son who camps a lot. The other two will be in my motor home when I restock it after the remodel I’m working on. I own a variety of Coast products and have looked at buying this model of lantern for quite some time. I’m excited with the rechargeable battery, the size and features of the lantern and the Coast quality. Do not hesitate to buy anything you are interested in and shopping for from Coast. This company is top shelf and I have had great results with every product I have purchased.

Light weight, lots of ways to hang/sit. Would have been even better if it came with rechargeable battery.

Got to test this out on a cold rainy night of camping. Nice bright light, and easier to deal with than gas or propane. The rechargeable battery takes forever to charge, so just be aware. I was looking for something smaller for bike packing, but I didn’t really read too much about it before I bought it. It will really be handy for power outages. Overall, I’m glad I bought it and I’ll use it a lot, I’m sure.

Received a lantern labeled EAL25 as part of a bundle deal I purchased with the ZX1010 rechargeable battery. The lantern is the same as a EAL22 and the ZX1010 is the upgraded newest battery with 4 lights showing the charge progression. Like the low, medium, high white light and red or red emergency blinking choices for situational versatility. Power is either from 3 D cells or the rechargeable Zx1010. Brighter and longer running with Coast rechargeable, and much cheaper to use than alkaline. Suggest buying the battery, USB-C charging cord and the wall charger at the same time as the voltage is different than conventional charging hardware used for cell phones. Save on a bundle deal with battery and combining mailing charges. The hooks on the top and bottom are great for light placement choices. With the listed 225 hours max runtime on low, the unit can be moved to cover a variety of situations for emergencies. I’m using a solar panel and power station as a back up for camping or if there is an extended emergency. Can plug the Coast wall charger directly into the solar power station and charge the ZX1010 with the Coast USB-C cord. Great light with alkaline option, brighter light with rechargeable ZX1010, warranty at no extra charge and tech support at Coast. Built to last and a solid value, everyone needs this powerful package.

We now have owned or passed on or mysteriously "lost" 7 of these lanterns and never mind having to purchase more for friends or family. We do try to keep the batteries out of them when storing. We also had to learn to pop off the bottom to insert the batteries instead of attmepting to screw on and unscrew the bottom.
