Q: How are the seed oils in this moisturizer extracted? Are they cold pressed or chemically extracted?

A: Hi! The sunflower seed oil in the formula is expeller pressed so it is a mechanical process that is used to extract the oil from seeds using high pressure. Meanwhile the camellia japonica seed oil is extracted using a cold pressed method.

A: In general, our products have shelf lives of about 12 months after opening. On the bottom of every product box, we list a POA (period after opening) symbol. It should look like a little open jar with a number and the letter M (months). This will help you determine how long each product is good for after opening. Storing them in a cool, dry place, tightly closing the lid, and using clean hands to obtain the product, always helps maintain the integrity of the shelf life. Additionally, there is no expiration date on skincare products, with the exception of OTC items and any product referring to a medical skincare concern - including our daily SPF, silk SPF, and postbiotic acne serum. These products will have an expiration date noted on the product itself.

I love this stuff! Full transparency have very sensitive skin although I will say I’m not very prone to breakouts. I do have very sensitive skin rosacea that started about 10 years ago my skin is very fair. Have to be careful in the sun. Previous melanoma spots, etc., etc. This is a really nice lightweight moisturizer, and the smell is so refreshing. It’s a 10/10 for me. Sometimes I do add an extra layer of a different moisturizer in the winter just because my skin gets extremely dry but I just love this so much that I still use it in the winter anyway ✨

I wanted to love this and used this for a few days. I loved the texture of this and it left my skin soft and it wasn’t greasy. However this has caused me to breakout. Also the smell is very strong, I feel like my face smells like a pressed juiced even after I wash my face the smell lingers. Definitely not non-comedogenic but it did leave my face soft. I will be returning this product.

So I just bought this product a couple of days ago from seemingly not bad reviews, but after using it a couple times now I am not very happy with it. I seem to agree with most of the bad reviews I have found here; it takes FOREVER to absorb into my skin and even after it does, I don’t think my skin feels much different or great. Also, I definitely don’t think I have noticed a good change in my acne/redness. I have dry, eczema, and sensitive skin for reference. Pretty acne prone too. So overall, I would definitely not buy again and i’m def disappointed bc it was a pretty penny. I say all this without even mentioning the bad scent btw…

Really clears up the texture on skin quickly . The only thing I would say is the scent is strong . If the smell is alot , I’ll suggest layering it with a vitamin E or any face oil to cut the smell on skin . Great for the brown girls. Will buy again

this doesn’t absorb well at all it just kinda sits on the skin. as a result my skin has felt way more dehydrated lately. i won’t be repurchasing. the celery smell doesn’t bother me but i could understand why there are so many reviews mentioning it.

I love this product. I'm not generally one to write reviews - however, I saw that a big note was the smell. It smells like cucumbers. I like it - I think it smells clean. I also don't believe the smell to be strong at all (as I don't use products with strong smells). Don't let other people's distaste of veggies put you off from a great moisturizer!

I love cocokind and have used a few of their products. First time purchasing this cream. It definitely smells like celery. It’s fairly lightweight and I don’t feel very moisturized. My reason for the low review is upon opening, it has a yellow film like food going bad. Even when scraping it off and closing the top, the yellow edges or film comes back. Maybe it’s not a big deal, but reminds me of food spoiling. I love fewer preservatives in this line, but I don’t like that this product was bad from the start. Wouldn’t purchase again.

Unfortunately this product broke me out and gave my skin a reaction. At first it didn’t seem to do it, so I stuck with it and thought maybe I was experiencing acne. After about 3 weeks of every day use, it started to burn each time I put it on and made my skin react with rashes and painful bumps. I wanted to like it, but if you have sensitive skin please beware!

This has completely changed the course of my skin. I usually don’t write reviews but just in two days my skin texture has improved SO much. I have combination skin and it’s really dry on my chin so I usually get acne there. It’s cleared it up, I used the barrier serum as well from Cocokind and I think those two combined are a miracle combo for me. My skin feels smooth and hydrated now.
