Do not buy!
Do not buy this or any version of this type of dispenser from Target or probably anywhere. The pump completely rusts out. You can still use it but it clearly affects the smoothness of the pumps functionality. Ours constantly gets stuck in the down position. That and it looks messy. I feel like Target knows this and continues to sell cheap products because everyone keeps buying them… You will eventually throw it out and what a shame for everyone.

Terrible item and unfortunate customer service
Terrible item! As with most other reviews, the bottle started rusting after a month or so of use. I went to the Target where I purchased this item, and they wouldn’t take it back despite the rust because the item had been used. I drove across town to a different Target, and they took it back immediately. Very strange and disappointing experience with the item and the first store!

Target, where's my refund???
DO NOT BUY THESE. After less than one month of normal use, both of my soap dispensers rusted internally and developed black mold inside the pump mechanism. Every pump of soap was passing through rust and mold before coming out, contaminating the soap and creating a serious health concern. I expected a bathroom soap dispenser to withstand moisture. Instead, these failed almost immediately. After reading the reviews, it’s clear this is a widespread manufacturing defect, not an I can no longer use these because they are unsafe for their intended purpose. I expect a full refund and hope Target removes or redesigns this product before more customers unknowingly use contaminated soap.

Tortoise Soap Dispenser
This soap dispenser caught my eye with a beautiful tortoise shell pattern, however the pump rusted within a month and leaked into the soap, turning a clear hand soap to rust orange and now can no longer be used safely. Would highly advise against purchasing.

terrible terrible product. the rusting is a very real issue and its beyond disgusting and frustrating. you get little to no use out of the product before it ruins every bit of soap you put in there and becomes a health hazard. had to throw it away. and will be requesting a refund.

MOLD, MILDEW, and CONTIMINATED SOAP IN A PRETTY BOTTLE!!
I purchased this soap pump for its tortoise print. It was cute, but upon refilling I was met with mold, mildew, broken down metal and contaminated soap. I tried to clean it off thinking it was just soap buildup and then it reeked the smell of metal. I used the paper towel and it was black and green (pictured). I went to dump out the remained soap and to my surprise it was brown. Might I add the soap I used was CLEAR Method brand gel soap (listed as compatible) so why is it brown. To think I have been washing my hands with intent to clean to only have been contaminating my hands and health. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

This item rusts inside the bottle when it reacts with soap DO NOT BUY. I noticed the rusting around the outside and then when I added my CLEAR hand soap and it came out brown through the pump and my hand smelled like metal, I realized it was the bottle.

Rusts fast
I dont know if mine was an error but the metal completely rusted after a month of use and turned the soap brownish red over the time. I opened it up and realized the entire base of the metal part had rusted and began to rust the lid. I scrubbed it but it and sealed it but unfortunately its still comes back
