Colorproof - Volume Shampoo

This Colorproof volumizing shampoo smells good without having a strong, overpowering scent. It is quite thick so it takes a bit of squeezing to try to get some out of the bottle. A little goes a LONG way. I think a nickel size would be enough to shampoo shoulder length hair. I feel that this shampoo does a good job cleaning my hair and helped it look more voluminous. This shampoo smells amazing and that smell lasts the entire evening and into the next day. It's pretty expensive but you really only need a teaspoon size. If you look at my picture you can see how much and that covers a full head wash of pretty long hair. My hair goes down to my bra. Also, it says that it is for normal to fine hair. I would say my hair is thicker and I still really think it was suited to this product. Definitely created a lot more volume when I do my blow dry without adding any hairspray but that volume doesn't really last after a night's sleep. I haven't tried the accompanying conditioner yet and I didn't use any other conditioner with this. Felt my hair was pretty soft and I don't feel the need to use a conditioner, but I have ordered the matching conditioner so we'll see if that add anything further to the hair. This volumizing shampoo by color proof is a great product. You can feel it right when you’re lathering it in it immediately leaves your hair Soft I’m a little disappointed with the size of the bottle. It’s only about 8 1/2 ounces and it really doesn’t last more than 10 washes for someone with longer hair. If you have shoulder length hair, you might be able to get a month of washes. My thin naturally curly hair needs all the help it can get in the volume department. This ColorProof Volume shampoo gives it a little extra oomph. I tend to glaze my hair a few times a year, so keeping color safe product ready at home is a must. A little goes a long way, I could have used half as much and still had a nice lather. My hair felt clean right after and I followed it up with the colorproof conditioner and a light mouse and let my curls air dry. The shampoo has a stronger scent than I am used to, but it would not be overwhelming to anyone else that is not super sensitive to scent. I received an incentive to write this review.

I have very fine, straight and frizzy hair. This shampoo works excellent. It does not weigh down my hair but instead gives it volume. I also color my hair and it didn’t have any effect on the color. It smells sooo good. I have had a hard time finding products for my hair that help keep it healthy and do not weigh it down but this one seems to do the trick. I also have the postpartum frizz and this has helped with flyaways. I received an incentive to write this review.

Overall after trying out Colorproofs Volume Shampoo I can say I am quite pleased. This is advertised for fine or flat hair which I do have and it helps in adding some fullness to the hair. It left my hair feeling clean and lightweight and did not leave a residue behind. It’s also targeted for color treated hair which I have and I do think it helps provide longevity to my color. This is a nice volumizing shampoo. I recently had some postpartum hair loss and my hair gets dull fast and this really helps the hair look voluminous and silky. It doesn’t dry my hair too much and I like how it has so many great haircare benefits associated with it. I was so excited to try this as I have been looking for a high quality shampoo. I frequently color my hair to cover the grays and I like that this offers color protection. The product comes out of the bottle easily and it lathers very well. I have very long hair so it can be difficult to shampoo all of it but I found that this product was fairly easy to lather through my long locks! I also loved the citrusy smell of the shampoo. My hair felt silky and soft when I brushed it after washing. Oh and it is a huge plus that it’s American made! I received an incentive to write this review.
