Great!
The first time using this brand was a good experience, there is not bad smell. It feels like a good moisturizing ingredients and it leaves hair soft. Althought, my hair may need a stronger concentration as some roots are back a week later, but overall good experience.

Buy a lighter shade!!
I went with a lighter shade than i was thinking of (chose Barcelona over Habana), and completed all the steps with no changes, hoping for a medium brown. I ended up with black and a slight brown sheen. Nowhere close to the expected color. I normally use Clariol Beautiful Collection, and this was very disappointing. Pros: Very hydrating and soft end result. Cons: Almost impossible to remove.

Beautiful box color. Bad results.
I haven’t colored my hair in 5 years. Finally back to my natural color. I got bored and decided I wanted this beautiful sunset rose color on my head. I was hesitant but excited. 10 minutes after applying, I noticed my scalp was tingly. Not hurting so I left it on. Left on for 30 minutes per the instructions. Rinsed it out, which left my hair EXTREMELY DRY, I almost couldn’t get shampoo to work with it. Applied the cream, left on for 2 minutes. When I dried my hair, I realized this is NOT the beautiful red color on the box, it is BLONDE. Like I just bleached my entire head. Thankfully my starting color was also blonde, but this is obviously way brighter. Very disappointed, I’ve never had this happen before, ESPECIALLY with red dye. I guess that’s what I get for trusting a box. I’m surprised my hair didn’t burn off, as I was unaware I was BLEACHING it.

Beautiful, silky, radiant, smooth and shiny!
For reference, my hair, if I grew it out, is medium ash brown salt and pepper, with a pure white streak at each temple like Cruella de Ville. I have pale, cool toned blonde highlights on a dark ash blonde base. I wanted a color to cover my roots as they grow out. Bora Bora was a perfect match! The bonding primer made my hair as smooth and soft as silk and wish I could buy it separately. I will definitely be buying this again.

Colour does not match with the box
Purchased colour 5.3, expected goled brown colour as shown on the picture because I normally buy 5.3, this time decided to go with this brand. Hair came out BLACK totally from top to bottom, no brown and golden in sight, this is not what I see usually after dying my hair this colour. Do not recommend at all, product was the most expensive in store and I ruined my hair colour which was dark blonde. I think it is enough to sue the company.

Too Dark
I’ve been coloring my hair using Preference by L’Oréal in Light Golden Brown. I wanted to try ColorStrong because it does not have ammonia and may be gentler on my hair. WELL, my hair is now a much darker brown with NO dimension. What happened? I’m sick over this. Been washing with clarifying shampoo without much result. I would be very careful if choosing this brand of color. Not recommended.

Amazing shade and hair texture
First time using Clairol and I couldn’t be happier! I didn’t take any pictures but my hair changed completely! It feels like I had an expensive treatment on it + the lovely colour. I don’t know what is inside that my hair loved so much but please don’t ever change the formula, at least for this shade :) Wella never disappoints!

Misleading product
I am very upset with this product. It turned my hair almost black from a very pretty red. I researched the product before using and it seemed like it would look great. But the color is horrible and will not stop bleeding in the shower and all over my pillows. Will not recommend using it to anyone. I have used Clairol for years and have never had this problem not worth the money I spent on it

Hi there! We thank you for using our ColorStrong, but we are saddened to learn of the dark results and the bleeding color. Some colors (especially some red shades or very dark shades) contain very intense pigments. If you experience excessive color bleeding or fading after coloring with one of these shades, this could be due to a number of factors, including buildup on the hair from previous color, minerals from water, and styling products. Hair porosity may also contribute to this, which can be caused by environmental (exposure to sun, etc.) and/or mechanical (use of heated appliances such as blow-dryers and straightening irons) damage. For these reasons, we suggest both deep conditioning hair on a regular basis, as well as occasionally using a clarifying shampoo (48 hours prior to applying color) to help remove any buildup that might affect your color. The use of the clarifying shampoo can also help soften up the dark results, and we would also recommend avoiding the use of blow dryers and curling irons. Nonetheless, this is still not the experience we want you to have or excpect, and we invite you to talk with one of our color experts. You may reach us at 1-800-252-4765, so we can further assist.

My new go to hair color
I have used this product/color three times now and I love it. I have gotten consistent results and good grey coverage. What I like about this product versus other home color kits is the fact that it has no ammonia. This color works well for me, it is a very dark blonde with a slightly warm undertone (but not brassy) and looks very natural.

I have read so many negative reviews on this brand and at first was skeptical about trying it, but I'm so glad I did! I used the medium brown shade and for me, it didn't turn my hair black but a nice chocolate brown like my natural hair color, and the grays were covered completely! I would definitely use this again!

Love the color!
I have used Red Desert Colorstrong three times now, and I love it! It covers my gray/silver/white hair, and it doesn't fade or wash out. It is a little bit dark for the first few days, but after a couple of washings, it settles into a nice auburn that I really love. If I had 1 complaint, it's that I wish this product were easier to find in stores.

Don't buy!
All round awful product Colour - terrible! Hair condition after use - terrible! My hair now feels matted whenever I use shampoo, I have been using scalp serums, hair oil and nourishing masks just to make it feel soft again and stop my scalp from being irritated and flaky. Seriously stay away, don't do it to yourself! The stress and anxiety this has caused me since the second I used this product is insane.

Terrible colour
Very unhappy with this product. My hair has come out a dirty grey-white colour and nothing like the picture on the box. The conditioner that is included did not condition my hair at all! Terrible product, will need to go to a hairdresser to undo this awful colour. DO NIT BUT!

Ruined my hair
I bought the copper desert. I have dirty blonde hair with very few highlights. This bleached my roots and left the rest of my hair dark red. I look like a CLOWN

Soft,Natural, and No Funky Smell
First time using Clairol ColorStrong (Hawaii) and pleasantly surprised! I was nervous it’d be too dark, but it toned down the leftover red/orange from a previous kit and covered grays beautifully. The color is deeper than I’m used to but still looks natural. Instructions were easy to follow, odor was minimal, and my hair feels soft—not overprocessed. I left it on roots for 18 mins, then tips for 5, since the tint was darker than I typically use. Limited options at the store, but this one worked out well!

Beautiful color- doesn't last and damages hair
I have purchased the color fiji sunset a few times. The first box I loved the color. However it did not last. I have done it several times. It does not offer lasting grey coverage. The worst part is its damaged my hair severely. Additionally, it would be great if they actually had a enough primer. There is not enough primer to cover all my hair- I don't need two boxes of dye.
