Find something different
The bristles have started to come apart and melt. It's also falling apart at the base of the bruch. I've only used it a handful of times. My dryer does get hot, but no hotter than something salon grade. Find a better made alternative that might be a bit more expensive instead of using this a couple times and needing to replace it.

Best Boar Hair Round Brush For Fine/Thin Hair
This is the 4th Conair boar round brush that I’ve boughten . I can’t find this brush anywhere but Target. My store is usually out of stock so I drive to another one a little further away to pick it up. I have fine , thin, silky blonde hair and it breaks easily due to damage from the sun , crappy hair products and lightning my hair . It’s completely lifeless and straight . I love how this not only glides through my hair but with my blow dryer on low heat ( less damage) and some thickening gel, my hair looks so much fuller and smooth . I use a turning wrist motion as I dry each part of my hair . Boar hair is considered the best type to use for fine/thin hair. Maybe not for thick . You’ll know when it’s time to replace it when the bristles start to fall out or the bristles start to curve and look worn. The brush does last quite a long time .

Not for thick hair
I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I unfortunately did not like this brush. My hair is thick, and even with small sections, it wouldn't cut through my hair. The bristles don't make it easy to manage with one hand, so you have to put the dryer down every time you grab another section of hair. It also lost bristles almost immediately, which is a mess. I would purchase for a friend.

Nice boar bristle brush

Could be the synthetic bristles? I'm not sure! I used it on semi wet hair and also dry hair. I like that it contains a mix of boar hair to bring out the shine in my hair.
