I didn’t see anything that said a SIM card was included so I ended up wasting time and money buying another one. Also, I am new to android but the “Hello,Moto” that is announced loudly every time the phone is turned on gets annoying. The included cord for charging is ridiculously short. Other than that, the phone is very sleek and fairly easy to understand. Quite small print, though. I wanted this for an older person and I’m not sure they will be able to use it.

For the 'Hello, Moto' announcement that plays when you turn on your phone, you can turn off this sound by going to Settings > Sound > Advanced > Turn off Power on Sounds. This should help reduce any annoyance with the startup sound. As for the print size, you can adjust the display settings to make the text larger, which might be helpful for easier reading. If you go into your settings on the Moto G Play 2024 and select "Sound" and then select "Advance", you will then you will be able to turn Power On sounds off. You can also adjust the font size in the display settings to enlarge the font size. All of our devices come with a pre-installed SIM card, ready to be activated on our service. The charging cord that comes with this device is the standard length that Motorola includes with most all of their devices now. So far, I like everything about this phone. It's lightweight. It has great speakers. I can hear phone calls clear as a bell. Best phone I've ever had for being hard of hearing. I also like the 'keyboard.' It's very easy to read and my arthritic fingers hit the right buttons.

Poor Sound Quality

I purchased this phone about 3 months ago from Target. Callers were constantly complaining that it sounded like I was underwater. I reached out to Consumer Cellular and they performed a diagnostic test and had to replace the phone. Well, the new phone does the same thing! I reached out to Consumer Cellular again but there was no resolution. I'm stuck with a phone with an inferior tower connection and sound. (This sound is also muffled when using it in my vehicle.) WASTE of money. Also, I get the message alert, You Got Mail, when there is no mail. This is a case of you pay for what you get.
