Perfect for school kids
I had this water bottle when I was in high school it was great. It’s light , fits in perfectly the outside pocket of a school bag, it’s also lockable so no spilling. I recommend a straw cleaner for the straw and under the edges

Hard no
The inside rubber straw mechanism (attached to the pop up part) keeps tearing despite always hand washing it and that causes the straw function to not work. I’m now on the second replacement in as many years. Knowing what I know I recommend you Pass on this style and get one that doesn’t require the rubber inner straw part.

Not dishwasher safe
Loved it until it warped in the top rack of the dishwasher which the description specifies it is safe for. Now the lid doesn’t fit and I need to spend on a new one 8 months later.

Disappointed ☹️
I purchased this water bottle and was very disappointed, the straw started squeaking as I was drinking out of it an then it started getting mold onto the straw and the cup itself, all I’ve ever put into it was water for work since we could only use clear water bottles

Straw started sucking air!
I have two of these Contigo water bottles... but both of them had started sucking air... making noise and the water does not come thru! I had adjusted the straws and the sound persists. I had loved these two bottles... but not they seem to be unfixable.

Not working
You wouldn’t think that a water bottle would stop working after just a couple of months, but that’s what happened with this one. For some reason, the only way to get water to come up is by loosening the top of the bottle. If it’s tightened, water will not come up through the straw.

I have two older Contigo water bottles with the straw that screws on and a lmouthpiece that flips up with a button press. I would have happily bought more of those, but this was the closest option available. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of buying a second one before thoroughly testing out the first. Getting the straw inserted properly can be difficult. Many times, I have to readjust it so I can actually suck the liquid through it. In addition, the straw doesn't reach deeply enough to drink all the liquid out of the bottle, leaving a significant amount at the bottom. This is exacerbated by the fact that the design of the bottom of the bottle. The center of the bottle curves upward, while the outside edges curve downward. The remaining liquid then pools there and is unreachable. The worst problem, however, is that the bottle frequently squirts liquid on me when I click open the lid. At first, I thought this was due to the liquid being under pressure from elevation or heat. However, the liquid squirts out under pretty much every circumstance. I'm very disappointed in this water bottle and regret purchasing it.

Design Flaw
This is the 5th Contigo product we have owned. I like the flip-up spout design but the plastic shell around the mouthpiece needs some work. I accidentally knocked it off my side table onto carpet and the shell broke. It snaps around the silicone mouthpiece and now the tiny clips that hold the 2 pieces together broke off and it wont stay together any longer. I Super Glued it back together, not sure how long this will last. Needs a more robust design on the flip up mouthpiece. Otherwise, typical Contigo quality.
