I gave a 5 because my experience so far is insufficient to provide an answer to the question.
So far I am disappointed by the desk. When I saw this advertised as “Cast Iron” I expected “Cast Iron”. And even though the legs are technically cast iron … everything else is cheap fake wood. Next time Threshold makes a “Cast Iron” product… I would recommend choosing a real hardwood body … charge us more and give us a product that will last.

Pros: Easy to assemble Looks nice Affordable Cons: The surface of the desk just after 4 or 5 days of home office use is already peeling up in one spot. The space between the pillars is too small for any normal size desk chair to fit. I bought one that is 19 1/2 inches as the dimensions show it can accommodate a 20” desk but the arms keep it from fitting underneath. Very, very disappointed- make she you can find a chair that will fit well before moving forward. I wish I’d had bought a nicer, slightly larger desk.

This is way nicer then it looks. Buy this if you want something super nice but done have a lot of space. It is definitely a space saver desk. The shelves of lager then I thought and the can even perfectly fit my printer to allow more desktop space. Cloth baskets fit on these shelves too.
