Initially I rated this product 5/5 because I did not notice the notorious foul taste that most SPF lip products leave in your mouth, but after having it on longer I did start to have that taste form in my mouth. The initial taste/smell is quite sweet, but after that wears off you’re left with an SPF taste, unfortunately. It seems product development for SPF lip products has not made advancements in that department. It’s still a nice product, and I would say it has a less offensive taste than a lot of the other brands I’ve tried,

I bought this product because I wanted something that would provide me with both adequate SPF (30 or higher) and had color or tint. The tint in this is not made for someone whose lips are more melanated than the model the company depicts in the ads.
Important to Moisturize Lips Before Using This

To be clear, this review is for the tinted version of this balm. I HATE that Ulta mixes up versions of products in the reviews! This was my time using a balm with SPF (after an experience where my lips sunburned, of course). This goes on smoothly, and the subtle color worked with my brown skin, which was a worry as I couldn't try before buying. I can't say if it's the case with all lip suncreens (probably), but with this one I found I had to thoroughly moisturize my lips first with another balm before applying this one for the sun protection. I have EXTREMELY dry lips. However, from reading other reviews I gather that even those who don't will experience eventual lip dryness and chapping using product by itself. This is NOT a deal-breaker for me - I have issues using chemical sunscreen on my face, so I get a better result from using a moisturizer then a separate mineral sunscreen rather than some sort of combo product. I don't mind - even prefer - layering on my face, so why should I mind doing in on my lips?

It was alright. I did not really see any difference on me and found it drying on my lips. For the price I don't think it's worth it.

I get really annoyed with most tinted spf lip balms. I don't really want to wear bright red lip orange or pink lip balm to the beach when I don't have on any other makeup. This is the perfect sheer slightly tinted balm that looks nude. And it doesn't have that disgusting sunscreen taste like sun bum. Just wish they had more neutral tinted options, like a nude peach! Also would LOVE a mineral option.
Okay for the price

This has a slighty grainy texture and the tint is VERY sheer, pale, and has a cool undertone. This would probably not work well for someone with darker skin or very pigmented lips, but it's fine for me because I'm quite fair.

Not moisturizing. Does not stay on, i have to re apply a lot. Feels gritty when applying. The slight color is a nice touch but it does not feel anything like a chapstick.
It was just ok to me

The pigment was very minimal. It wasn't as hydrating as I would have hoped. And it had that sunscreen taste.
No sunscreen taste!

I am SO picky about sunscreen lip products, because most taste like straight up sunscreen. This product is not too oily, and has no sunscreen taste! Its my go to from now on.
So good for sun bathing lips!

Coolant products are far superior than other I have tried. The lip balms help keep you lips moist even in the hottest weather and sun. And so great to have an option with a tad of color.

The entire stick broke off inside the tube then fell on fhe floor when I opened it. This all happened within 24 hours of unboxing (despite it only being twisted up just enough to use the 3 times I got to try it in those 24 hours). Wish I had more to say but didnt have it that long.

I just purchased both original and tinted lip balm from this company. The original is fine but the tinted formula is terrible. It's drying and gritty and you can actually see in the photos they took of a swatch that the tinted one looks gritty. I love spf lip balm especially ones that have a tint and I really wanted to like this one but it's just a bad formula.

I really wanted to like this product, but it did not work for me at all. It felt fine at first application, but it tastes awful and left a bumpy rash on my lips that lasted almost a week. I have never had anything like this occur with other products and I would not recommend purchasing this lip balm.

This product is more of an exfoliating product. It felt like there was sand in the lip balm, and I was excited to use it because I love this brand and wanted to try an SPF for my lips, but that is not the case. This was like sandpaper.

This product wasn't for me, maybe there's something about my lips that is different than most. I found this to be drying and I had to reapply often, as the color did not last. To not waste the product, I apply a hydrating balm first and then use this as a topper. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect tinted lip balm that has everything I'm looking for! Wish this would have worked out for me!

Rather than hydrating my lips it dries them our even more, my skin has noticeably started peeling a lot more and there are dry patches. It's greasy and doesn't last very long. Not worth the money do not buy.

Coola's Classic Liplux Lip Balm SPF 30 is an amazing lip care product that combines effective sun protection, deep hydration, and skin-nourishing ingredients into one sleek product. It comes in a simple, yet sophisticated compact tube, which makes it easy to carry and apply it on the go. It is infused with powerhouse ingredients, like coconut oil, vitamin E, and shea butter. The texture is lightweight and leaves a matte finish. One standout feature is that it is free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates- ideal for anyone who prefers a balm composed of clean ingredients. It glides on easily especially when I'm on the go. It doesn't leave a white cast or sticky residue, unlike some other lip balms. It keeps my lips hydrated, supple, and buttery-soft for hours while protecting my lips from the sun's harmful rays. I didnt realize how crucial sun protection for lips is until I started using this. I spend a great deal of time outdoors, so it gives me some peace of mind, knowing that my lips are protected from the sun's harmful rays. If you are looking for a subtle, no-fuss lip care product that delivers both protection and nourishment, then this is for you! Product was received as part of an educational promotion.
I will definitely buy this product again!

The lip balm goes on smooth and stays on! I love the tinted color and the 30 SPF, because my lips are always peeling, but not anymore.
