I really wanted to love this. It’s rated in the top safest natural sunscreens on the EWG site. It’s the best value for $. I reapplied it 2 times the first time and 3 times the second time and the kids were still pretty pink at the end of the day. The scent is pleasant. It leaves white but that doesn’t bother us. It’s easy to rub on, a little watery. I returned my 2nd bottle.
I’m a mom of 3. This is definitely for kids - it stays white on skin and is liquid, but I like the “runniness” because I don’t have to squeeze forever and it’s easy to spread over skin quickly. Good coverage and water proof. Love the tear free.
I loved this when I bought it. It’s runny, but that makes it easier to rub in. It stays on for a long time and appears water resistant (water simply beads on top of skin). It has a white residue, but that’s from the Zinc that’s in all non-chemical sunscreens. However, after repeated use (for a long day at the pool or use on consecutive days) oh man is skin dry. Our whole family used this and is now shedding and peeling and not from any sunburn (no one even got pink so it does the sunscreen job). This stuff has dried our skin to unbelievable proportions. One day of sun protection = multiple days of moisturizing. Unfortunately, I will be going back to the more expensive clean/non-chemical brands.
This sunscreen had good safety ratings regarding the ingredients. The kids like that it's not too thick and pasty like some of the zinc suncreeens. It is well priced so a win win situation for parents and kids.
I almost took this product back to the store, I didn't realize how watery it was. It does leave a slightly white residue but you have to be sure you really rub it in and ensure you have good lighting when you apply it. I apply it to my daughter every morning before school and it seems to protect well so I will keep it.
Love the 'spreadability' of this sunscreen. Good ingredients and it it a little more liquidy than other zinc sunscreens which i enjoy. Makes it easier to spread on moving little ones. I even use it on myself.
Love the fact it is tear free! There is a slight smell that lingers. The issue if you use a lot you have a white noticeable residue left on your face. I always try yo use as little bit, but when I use the right amount it isn't too bad. Doesn't help it is watery.
