Q: Will this burn if applied around the eyes/if sweat causes it to get in eyes?
submitted by dkiwi - 2 years ago
A: The Coppertone Pure & Simple Baby Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 is a tear-free, hypoallergenic, and gentle formula.
Contains harsh chemicals, such as silicones that are harmful to the environment and individuals. Opt for a more natural sunscreen to protect your babies from the sun and complex harmful ingredients.

Perfect for sensitive eyes

I have eczema and very sensitive eyes. This is the only sunscreen I’ve found that is affordable that I can use on my face. I blend it with a makeup brush (which also works really well with toddlers and babies). I use a makeup remover to remove it at night. I live in the sunny desert so I usually need to reapply it which makes it even harder to remove - but it melts right off with a cleansing balm (I use pondscold cream). Yes it has parabens but please Remember they are antibacterial and antifungal so your product will last longer with less contamination and it DOESN’T STING EYES👏👏 and can actually help eczema.

Difficult to spread and rub into skin. Difficult to wash off even after showering twice. Leaves a film on skin.

So hard to rub in. Especially on a toddler who won’t sit still. My friend recommend trying a sunscreen stick instead. Also impossible to wash off hands.

I won’t get this again. Like another reviewer said it’s super drying. My kids tend to get dry skin in the winter and this was way worse. Their whole bodies where the sunscreen was applied is so dry it’s rough.

Much runnier than I was expecting (it was kept out of the heat), but it did a great job. Baby did not burn.l and it was easy to rub in.

My sun has eczema and this sunscreen does not irritate his skin. It is very watery/runny though and the bottle tends to leak at times even when closed. I will continue to purchase though, because it works for my son’s sensitive skin.

I bought this because I love the Coppertone Sunscreen Spray —in spray form it’s very smooth, non-sticky and never leaves a white cast but this product is not like that at all. It leaves a thick white cast on the skin making it look ashy and dry, this product is 100% mineral though so that might be why. I’m sure it protects just fine but I’m returning.

Unfortunately bottle opened in my bag. I couldn’t wash it out it was a mess. Even dish soap didn’t do the trick. So keep it in a plastic bag to be safe. Didn’t even got to try it on the baby.

Worst Sunscreen I Have Ever Used
1 out of 5 stars
LindaBinNC - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
It's so greasy it's gross, leaves a white film, almost impossible to wash off in shower and I had a sunburn after only 45 minutes in the sun so it is NOT 50 spf. Go back to the drawing board on this on Coppertone, it's awful and I have bought something else and it was not your brand. The old Water Babies formula was much better.

I guess it prevents sunburn but this is easily my least favorite sunscreen. It stinks, when you try to rub it in it feels gritty and the white just stays. Be careful not get any on your clothes or better yet don’t buy it.

It leaves skin flaky dry. I used this on myself and my child. the white cast isn't too bad, but it doesn't soak in. I noticed any hour after application that my hands were crazy dry, and reapplying was even whitener and more unconformable. my child has eczema, this didn't burn her and prevented sweat irritation... but dried her skin out so she was very itchy from that.
