Q: For a mattress that is less than 11” thick, would it look strange to be able to see the base of the headboard? For the twin size, would this be uncomfortable against a child’s head?

A: If the mattress is more that 11'' thick, the mattress may not be able to put. If you feel the twin size bed will be against a child’s head, it is recommended to choose a larger one.

Do not buy this!
I would give it no stars if I could. We haven’t even had this thing for 24 hours and it’s already majorly broken. The wood is very cheap and weak. It should be illegal to sell this.

Easy to assemble
Easy to assemble. Everything snaps together except the middle support bar that runs vertically (easily screws together with the allen wrench that is provided). Once its assembled, there is a thick cover that goes over it, just like a fitted sheet. All parts are clearly labeled with easy to follow instructions. I was able to assemble all by myself.I bought for my sister and she loves this bed...it definitely looks like her style. It feels sturdy and doesn\'t creek and groan like her previous metal bunk bed.
