A: I’ve tried the TruBlend and it dries like chalk. That is why I wanted to try the skim milk, but needed a shade equivalent to Buff Beige.

I have combination skin and it does not emphasise my dry patches and doesn’t make my oily sections look greasy! It stays on my skin all day looking fresh and doesn’t slide off during a hot day. I do not need to put a powder on top as I like the natural finish it gives me. The package is great that it is a squeeze tube and I can choose how much comes out. The lid is nice and secure so I am comfortable putting it in my handbag or makeup bag without it getting messy. I also like that I can see the product in the tube so I know when I am running low.

It didn’t break my skin out and doesn’t feel heavy or tacky. I did not use it with foundation because I like the look it gives. It really acts almost like a really light, low coverage foundation. It’s runny out of the bottle but I found it easier to apply when I mixed it with my normal face moisturizer. I got a more even application that way. It has lasted all day when I’ve worn it.

It feels super lightweight on the skin — more like a moisturizer than a foundation — and gives a nice, dewy finish. I liked how it evened out my skin tone without feeling heavy or cakey. That said, the coverage is very sheer, so if you have blemishes or redness, you’ll still need a concealer. It’s perfect for “no makeup” days. I have combination skin, and it worked well with a bit of powder in my T-zone. Just make sure to shake it really well before applying — it can separate in the bottle. Overall, it’s not for full glam looks, but for fresh, natural skin, it does the job beautifully.
