Unfortunately, the threads catch very easily and the color is more muted than I'd expected. I would not recommend it for anyone who's pet sleeps in their bed.

It's hard to tell in my photo because of the lighting but it's this beautiful sage green with fringe detailing and almost a muslin cloth weave and feel. I've had this king size throw blanket draped over my queen size bed for almost a month and even with my husband that tosses and turns all night, it's stayed strong with zero loose threads that I can see. It's also warmer than expected when folded in half but it would double as a nice, light summer throw as well. Highly recommend this for a self care purchase or as a gift.
