I’ve found myself reaching MORE for my Joy Xtra! I think the size is more suitable for the crafts I do, it’s easier to store, and far easy to set out / up to work on rather than the whole order of the larger Maker.

I love that it came with a lot of materials already so I could make stickers right away. In order to use the machine, the cricut design space has to be downloaded, which was no issue for me using my laptop. In the app, there are so many designs ready to use. Some are free, and others can be bought (they even offer subscriptions and a free 30-day trial). After some trial and errors, I was able to make a super cute mouse sticker for my kid, which they promptly added to their tablet cover. It was fairly simple to do, I just followed the instructions on the screen, loaded a sheet of material into the machine, and it cut everything!! The cuts are very precise, and they were easy to remove from the sheet. I also used cardstock to cut some shapes. A must-have for any crafter!
