What a great little powerhouse the Joy Xtra is. I use it for card making and some of my vinyl projects. Its small size makes it the perfect machine for small craft areas. I keep mine on my craft table, stacked under my Cricut Maker so both are easy to access.

This machine is very good and the best. I always needed a small machine to bring around while traveling, etc. Instead of bringing my explore air 2. Best machine ever! I use it almost every day!

Been looking at Cricuts for a couple of years and finally decided to get one for my Xmas present when I saw the Joy Xtra. Price on sale was right and it looked like all the features were good. I have an old Mac and old PC. Design Studio wouldn't work with the old OS. My iPad had the right OS and the machine connected via Bluetooth but Design Studio can't be used on mobile devices. Upgraded my PC to a new one with Win 11 but now can't get Bluetooth to work on it at all (Microsoft is horrible). The Joy models don't have USB it's Bluetooth only so now I have a brick. Almost ready to send it back but I hope I can get it to work some day. I'd really like to be able to use it. TLDR unless you know for sure your Bluetooth works without a hitch don't get the Joys.

It can be a bit finicky. But in a pinch it has done several cards for me

I have had the Explore Aire 2 for a couple of years and love it but wanted something smaller to have on my upstairs desk. The Joy Xtra is proving to be the perfect solution. It is small but mighty, able to do almost everything it's big brother can do. I have already done vinyl labels for my husband's shampoo bottles, many sheets of stickers, and now starting on cards. It is fast becoming my favorite but don't tell my Explore!!!!

It's great for my smaller projects. My only issue so far is it bends the mat on the top left corner which seems to be common with this machine. I have tried loading it the way some have said to avoid it but it doesn't work. I do wish it would have the option to cut twice if its not completely through.

Just received one for Christmas, so far easy to use and love to make things. So far only complaint is that its only Bluetooth and I'm off the day for snow and it will not connect to my phone or computer. I'm sad I was going to Cricut on my day off and can't. All machines should have a USB for extra connection.

Cuts quickly and no problems there. But in the middle of a cut the Bluetooth disconnect several times.

Difficult learning curve plus lots of hidden costs. I thought there were tons of things to make that were included in the purchase. Not so ! Anything worth doing is going to cost you …you can pay for a monthly subscription which is 10 plus a month

I have had this for nearly 2 years and am loving it. Cricut Joy Xtra can tackle most projects, and I have made some amazing things with it. It doesn't score, but it is compatible with the foil transfer tool, which creates amazing effects, but the only thing is, there doesn't seem to be a replacement tip. I am now saving up for a Maker 3, and hope to partner it with the powerhouse Joy Xtra.

Perfect size for crafting. Easy to use but I have trouble loading the mat. No mater how I hold it it goes in crooked and sometimes it doesn't straighten and buckles while cutting.otherwise I like it.
