Q: Does it come with the cricut software

  • A: Hi Traci, and thank you for your question. The Joy Xtra doesn't come with the software. The app is separate from the machine, but will require you to register the machine before it will work. Its available for iOS and android devices, Windows, and Mac. It will NOT work on a Chromebook, however.

Great machine

I bought this as my 2nd machine and it was bigger than the joy so I felt like I could do so much more with it! I love all my Cricut machines!

Just the right size!

I bought the Cricut Joy Xtra shortly after it came out. I have the Joy, but wanted the print then cut functionality. It's perfect for making sheets of stickers and very easy to travel with. I've been using Cricut printably vinyl and have had no issues.

Love Cricut!

I got the Cricut Joy Xtra as a requested Christmas gift. I instantly loved it! Now I'm debating on getting a bigger machine because I'm obsessed with crafting now!

Decent when it works.

It was a learning curve for me. I bought it to only cut out paper ephemera. It's supposed to accept jpegs but it won't accept all of them. Some jpegs have to be resized tp pngs to work. That is frustrating. But I'm adapting. So all i all i like it.

Small size, large potential

Entry level cricut....fell in love with cricut....so many different crafts one can make. Great for gifts...personalizing special gifts. There IS a learning curve on Design Space if one is not used to working with computer. Much fun once one starts on projects....water bottle good thing to start with. Many uses for cricut to personalize and label items. Many materials available for purchase...Easy to find materials ( called BLANKS)

I am in love with this machine

I am so glad I bought this! I’m finding myself using it constantly. The size is perfect and I’m doing tons of print and cut projects. It’s so easy to slide it around on my work surface, and it’s absolutely ideal for anything involving 8.5x11 paper. (I have an original Maker that’s been struggling due to eroded rubber rollers, and I’ve hardly used it since I got my Joy Xtra.)

Love my Joy Extra

I love my Joy Extra because of its size and functionality i use it for making stickers and making greeting cards. I like it better than the joy because its still small but gives just enough extra space to make sentiments, stickers and larger cards instead of just small 4” cards.

Everything was great for my smaller projects

I enjoyed making my grandsons shirts for the holidays and birthdays and also some neat decals.. they came out perfectly and was easy to weed the vinyl.

Purple Cricut Joy xtra

THe Cricut joy xtra is great machine, I love the size and how portable it is . The Purple was a great option to pick . It prints incredible quickly and it was so easy to use.
