So glad I bought this!!
I just got my Make 5 tonight. I have the original Maker. The speed is amazing. The cuts are perfect and clean on cardstock. I can’t wait to cut other materials.

Good and bad features
I recently purchased the Maker 5 to replace my original Maker. Maker 5 is definitely a huge improvement over the original Maker. However, I'm so disappointed that you cannot use older Cricut pens. I use pens with Cricut a lot, and knowing that I have to purchase new Pens is discouraging. I now have a bunch of pens that I cannot use. I also don't like that it doesn't have an on/off button. I would love to return this to Michaels, but they won't accept it since it's been opened and used a couple of times. Of course, anyone who received product for free is going to give it a 5-star review.

Not feeling it
I'm giving my honest, non creative, or influencer review. This is simply from a woman that loves to craft. I have checked out everyone else's reviews, and unboxing videos and all of that, and I said I wasn't going to upgrade or buy another one because I didn't see the need. However, my conscience got the best of me and I went to Michael's yesterday (9/9/26) and bought the bundle. I brought it home, unboxed, and played. When I made my first project (using the paper I already had btw), I immediately was disappointed. I did not like that loud "Ker-plunk" noise it makes when it would do it's thing. I also, do not like the open top concept at all. I'm not wanting to buy a dust cover or a microfiber cloth just to keep it dust free on a daily basis. I'd rather you had changed the design of the cover. I knew I didn't like it when I first saw it, but I wanted to be open-minded and just give it a chance. It's not happening. I'm okay with them taking away the little cup holder that's on the other makers/explorers, but where is the power button? Could've at least kept that, the pens, I don't like because you need to use their new "Universal" pens that haven't even come out yet to my knowledge. Anyway, Cricut, I'm returning it to Michaels. I hope you take this seriously, and go back to the drawing board on this one. I think you missed the mark on this. I'll stick with my maker 4. I love that one. And that's my VERY first Cricut machine.

The best tool you'll ever have for all youcrafting
I do not have this machine yet, but I have owned a circuit since the very first one came out on payments on an infomercial more than 20 years ago. I have upgraded to the newest one Everytime a new one was released. Sadly I had to sell it, and almost everything of value I had , to get a life saving surgery for my daughter due to COVID vaccine injuries, but never imagined how list I would be without it. So much so that this promotional advertisement I just read and watched brought me to tears, lol, i know it's just a machine. But I promise that if you are any kind of crafter you want a cricut! And once you have used one you will be hooked for life! It is the absolute best tool for all your crafting needs guaranteed. Im praying things will get back to normal so that I can purchase another one, Lord knows I'm lost without it! I absolutely, 1000% recommend these products.

Impressed!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cricut Maker 5 Review The Cricut Maker 5 is such a fun upgrade for anyone who loves crafting! I’ve been using Cricut machines for years, and I love how much you can do with the Maker line. It cuts an impressive variety of materials, from everyday vinyl and cardstock to thicker specialty materials, so there’s really no shortage of projects you can make. What I especially love is the versatility. Whether I’m making paper crafts, signs, stickers, home décor, or something completely random that I just decided I need to make, the Maker 5 gives me a lot of options without needing a bunch of different machines. It’s also really nice having a machine that can grow with you as you learn new techniques. If you’re someone who likes trying different materials and projects, this is definitely a machine I’d recommend looking at. Overall, I’m really impressed with the Cricut Maker 5. It’s versatile, capable, and makes it way too easy to keep adding projects to my “I’m totally going to make this” list. 😂 If you’re considering upgrading your Cricut or getting your first Maker, the Maker 5 is definitely worth checking out!

Wow, blown away by the speed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine is fast. That's the first thing I noticed. Is speed. I have done engraving on 3mm acrylic, cutting insert cards, cutting permanent vinyl and cuting smart iron on vinyl. And everything has been precise and fast. I am amazed. The consistency of the cut is great, though I have not done more then 2 cuts of the same material, I will definitely be using this machine more than my others! (I have the maker 3, joy 2, joy Xtra and have previously owned the joy.) This machine is so nice in comparison!

The Best of Both Worlds
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maker 5 gives me the speed and ease I love about the Explore 5, with the advanced capabilities I expect from a Maker. The cutting is fast and precise, and the engraving on my project came out beautifully with great detail and consistency. I really appreciate the precision of the machine and the versatility to move from everyday projects to more advanced materials and techniques. It feels familiar and easy to use right out of the box, and I absolutely love the blue color!

One Machine, So Many Possibilities
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had a chance to put this machine through its paces, and I can officially say—I love it! So far I’ve cut Iron-On, permanent vinyl, made cards, created keychains, and engraved with it. I wanted to try a good variety of projects before really sharing my thoughts, and this machine has handled everything beautifully. It’s easy to use, incredibly versatile, and I love having the ability to go from making a simple vinyl project or card to engraving a completely different type of project. And I have to mention the color—the blue is absolutely beautiful! I also really love the Essential Bundle. This isn’t one of those bundles where you get a couple of extras and immediately need to start shopping for everything else. It comes with enough materials to make dozens of projects, plus a Card Mat, LightGrip Mat, weeder, scraper, spatula, portable trimmer, scoring tool, and engraving tool. I especially like that the scoring and engraving tools are included because they give you even more project possibilities right from the start. You can make cards, work with vinyl and Iron-On, and then turn around and try something completely different like engraving.

The engraving tool that it came with is amazing; I have had so much fun engraving things. The Maker 5 has cut every material I have tried with precision: cardstock, vinyl, stickers, craft foam, chipboard, cardboard, felt, and wood veneer. Everything has cut perfectly every time.

Maker 5 opened my eyes to the world of engraving
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVE my Maker machines, although Maker 5 has brought so much more to my crafting table with the ability to work with thicker materials (now up to 3mm), precision cutting, and faster cutting speeds consistently which is appreciated for my limited crafting time. Engraving has become something that I have added to my Cricut journey lately and I'm super excited to explore and create more with my Maker 5 . . . bring on more inspiration to create beautiful things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that this machine can do thicker materials!!! That opens up so many more material possibilities. The cuts have been perfect. I was wondering how they would be with the speed of this machine. They have been great. If you are looking for a new machine this is the one to get.

Engraving, cutting, foiling, oh my!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the new Cricut Maker 5, and I have to say, I'm really impressed. So far I've cut vinyl, iron-on, cardstock, fabric, leather, faux suede, veneer, chipboard, corrugated plastic, and so much more. Everything has cut beautifully, cut settings are spot on. I even tested some designs with incredibly tiny details, and I was amazed that it could even cut them and did so so cleanly. Just zips around cutting and drawing effortlessly. I did another foiling project with the best results I've had. The first thing I noticed is that it's a little smaller than the previous Maker models. I also love that there's no lid to open in top, so I can keep a shelf right above it. It's a great space saver if your craft room is anything like mine. Another feature I didn't think I'd love as much as I do is the single load/unload button. One button does it all, making it quicker. And can we talk about the Deep Slate color? I honestly wasn't sure about it at first, but now I'm obsessed. It looks so much prettier in person than I expected! So naturally I had to order all the matching tools, lol. The Maker 5 also comes with the engraving tip when you buy it, which is awesome. I've engraved acrylic, metal, and leather, and every project has turned out beautifully. If you haven't engraved before with your Maker, you must with this! There is so much you can engrave and they make such great gifts. The Print Then Cut accuracy has also been spot on from the start. Every one of my projects has lined up perfectly and it scans and begins to cut quick! Overall, Cricut made a lot of small improvements that really add up and somehow saved on teh cost, which I was happy to see. The Maker 5 takes up less space, costs less, comes with more then previous models and has handled everything I've thrown at it. It's quickly become one of my favorite machines, and I can't wait to see what else I can create with it!
