Cuisinart 3 Stage Compact Sharpener

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this with high hopes that it would solve our dull knife situation. There are three sharpening options: coarse (for very dull or damaged knives), fine (for knives in rotation that just need some sharpening), and scissor/shears. Out of the box, you sort of get how to sharpen the knives instinctively, but the shear sharpener is not instinctive to me and there are no instructions. I scanned the QR code on the back and it took me to the product legal document on their website. This is a newer product so there were no videos online either. Aside from that, functions as expected so far. The knife I tried did seem to get slightly sharper after about 12 passes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sharpener is handy and great for a quick sharpening for average knives. We use stones and steel cards but can’t beat this for convenience. Would be great for RV and travel. Got a scissor sharpener slot too. Good for the price point and hopefully will last a good while. Has a loop to hang up and organize.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every knife and scissors in this house were a struggle to use (except for that one pair of sewing scissors that my daughter and I hide). I saw the Cuisinart 3 Stage Compact Sharpener, with the space for sharpening scissors, and had to have it. Chopping veggies was almost a pleasure (I hate to cook), and all of my scissors are like brand new. If you're in the same position, buy this. Because you are more likely to injure yourself with a dull knife than a sharp one!

It comes securely packaged with a QR code on the back (as shown in pics) that you can scan for their lifetime warranty. It has three different sharpeners on it, to accommodate dull, honing semi dull, and shears. You slide the unit out to get the sharpening settings you need. The handle conveniently locks in place and there's a siloncone pad on the bottom to help prevent the unit from slipping during use. When done, the sharpeners slide back into the unit and handle locks in place, and it's ready for storage. With Cusinart being a trusted kitchen brand for over 50 years, I expect to never need the lifetime warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a super compact and easy to use knife sharpener. I’m also able to sharpen my scissors using the same product. I appreciate how it can be stowed away compactly. It has 3 preset sizes for all kinds of knives and scissors. I was able to sharpen my knife in less than 5 minutes. It’s easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sharpener is compact and easy to use. It is lightweight and easily stored in a kitchen drawer. There are three slits, where you can sharpen a serrated knife, a regular knife and a pair of kitchen shears. I found the part of the slit to sharpen regular knives worked the best. It did not feel as if it was sharpening the kitchen shears, even when applying a bit of pressure. I did think that it worked great for the knife, however.

It really takes only a few strokes and voila, you're good to go! I like that it has a shears option too, those always are hard to keep in good order. I also like that it is compact and stores really small! Great investment.

It features coarse & fine slots for restoring my knives plus a dedicated slot for shears. I also love how safe they made this by having a locking handle & when done it slides together for easy storage while the nonslip silicone-base keeps everything safe & steady. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a knife sharpener that is a good quality & design for the value!

It has a nonslip silicone base that holds it securely and safely in place when in use and is made of heavy duty plastic. There were no instructions in the packaging but it's labeled as scissors, fine and coarse. It slides open and locks in place when you sharpen your knives. It's a good little sharpener for a home cook.

I have what I believe is the previous generation of Cuisinart knife sharpener which falls open to provide a handle and a hand guard with a way to securely and easily hold the item down on a flat surface when sharpening a knife. I purchased this one to add the ability to sharpen shears, which is great, but otherwise the product no longer has the same ease of use and functionality that the prior model had it would’ve been great to have the added feature without the loss of the prior models attributes.
