[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a light weight sharpener with then capability to sharpen knives, hatchets, and axes. Very versatile. It comes with the philip and flathead screwdrivers on the ends. I found no issues with the all purpose sharpener.

The online instructional video is extremely helpful especially for a novice like myself. I easily sharpened a pair of dull scissors and now I can use them again!

It’s easy to use and can be used on multiple items. It offers fine and course sharpening, multi-angle sharpening and on the go sharpening. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sharpened several kitchen butcher knives with the sharpener. The rubber feet kept the whetstone from slipping on the table. I am a novice at sharpening knives and had given up on whetstone sharpeners because I found them difficult and messy to use; and get a consistent edge. But I found this easy to use and got a good sharp edge without the hassle of using water. Only time will tell concerning the longevity and consistency of the whetstone. I will continue to use this in the future on my larger kitchen knives but, I will need to get a course version of this as I have several badly damaged knives. DMT Diamond Tristone Rotator Handheld and Benchtop Sharpener (Coarse, Fine & Extra Fine) I sharpened kitchen paring knives and a pocket knife with the sharpener. I liked having the three different color-coded grits available on the same tool. The course grit quickly took out the small dings on a couple of the knives. The fine and ultra fine grits cleaned up the rough edge and the knives were well sharpened. For me, it is a little too small for large butcher knives, but worked well with paring knives and a pocket knife. Though it is a handheld tool, I found it easier to control using the rubber edges on the table top. DMT Diamond Steel Honing Sharpener (Fine) I have never gotten the hang of using a honing sharpener like you see people use on videos or TV, But I found I was able to hold the sharpener vertically using the rubber cap on the end of it and putting it on the table. I was then able to hone the edge of the knives. I like the diamond coated surface as opposed to ridges on the one I have and don't use. I still have difficulty keeping the knife at the proper angle so my success with honing a knife will take more practice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received borh this and the steel the same day. While this seems like a one size fits all, it's more complicated to use than the steel. There are 4 choices when sharpening: 20° ceramic, 20° carbon, 30° ceramic and 30°carbon. The 20° carbon did a good job sharpening knives but not as good as the steel. It did not comecwith instructions on which angle to use.

I have used it to sharpen my axes and hatchets, pocket and hunting knives. Great in our hunting lodge with our food prep knives as well. Flat head and Philips drives as well. Amazing quality and value.

It can be used to quickly touch up your blade without having to perform a complete resharpening. Having this packed along can keep you from having to waste time with resharpening.

I started out using traditional bench stones in my grandfather’s sporting goods store—back when diamond stones weren’t widely available or affordable. The old methods required constant maintenance, but these modern diamond stones stay flat, handle a lot of sharpening, and work wet or dry with ease. The fine grit makes them ideal for medium maintenance, and just a light touch is enough to keep your edges sharp. You do need to find and maintain the correct sharpening angle, which isn’t difficult—but it might take a little practice if you’re new to it. The resin block and rubber feet provide a stable, secure base, making the entire process feel solid and safe. On top of that, I really appreciate that they’re made right here in my home state of Massachusetts.

However you can use it got safety blades, hatchets and more. It has both a ceramic and carbide sharpening edges. I would recommend this to others who have different sharpening needs

This can cause the scissors to dull after a while. It was so easy to sharpen the scissors with this. Also, I was able to sharpen box cutters and my x-acto knives with it as well.
