Cuisinart 4 Cup Rice Cooker

really loved this rice cooker when I first bought it, especially because the stainless steel design matched my other appliances perfectly and it cooked rice quickly, leaving it fluffy and perfectly separated.’ But after about 10 months, the cook switch began to fail. I’d press cook, but after a few minutes it would jump back to warm even though the rice was still raw. Now, I have to keep checking it and pressing the switch multiple times, and I can’t trust it to finish cooking on its own. As someone who’s been a big fan of Cuisinart, it’s honestly disappointing because it worked so well at first. I really wish this issue hadn’t happened because overall I was very happy with this rice cooker before the problem started.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mine is about 20 years old plus. Works a charm every time. Cannot fathom the poor reviews. Thinking about replacing mine only because of the wear on the inner workings (not the rice bowl itself).

It broke down after three uses; I will try and get a replacement; they have been good in the past

Love this cooker. I had one for over 20 years and just replaced it. ONE big thing is missing. My old rice cooker had a retractable cord and new one does not.

very easy to use, makes very efficient rice. I downgraded from an 8-cup to a 4-cup, and the previous one lasted me 12 years!

The non-stick coating of the inner cooking pot started to peel off in just a few weeks of about 7 uses. Loved the cute design and brand, I waited hoping the peeling would stop. But three months later, peeling was all over that I stopped using it and ordered a different brand. The steam tray remained like new.

Perfect rice! Easy to use and clean. Haven’t tried other features but am pleased so far

Our rice cooker just died after 13 years of frequent use. As a first time rice cooker owner, this was an absolutely perfect first rice cooker. Did it leak fluid or bubble over sometimes between the lid and non-stick pot? OK, sure. But did it provide consistently good rice for 13 years? Also, YES! Easy to use, easy to clean, and small enough to store, I highly recommend it as a My First Rice Cooker product to own.

Fantastic rice cooker which makes perfect rice. It can also be used as a vegetable steamer or to make perfect hard boiled eggs in the basket.

I really like this ricecooker. it works well, the rice is perfect and it is nicely compact. Unfortunately, although I have bought two of these, one for myself and one for my daughter, one of them had several flaws while the other was perfect. The bowl was losing its interiore surface, it was peeling off on both the inside and the outside. Then it stopped working, I could not turn it on at all. I was really sad about this because it is such a nifty rice maker. The same model that I bought for my daughter worked perfectly.

Rarely made good rice. More often than not the rice was overcooked/burned on the bottom. The warm function overcooks it too. I had to pay close attention and quickly unplug it as soon as it flipped to warm which totally defeated the purpose of having an automatic no worry rice cooker. It also broke after about 15 uses (just over a year)- wouldn’t switch on. Terrible product put it to electronic recycling. Only positive was the steamer basket function was handy.

I love this rice cooker. It cooks rice perfectly every time!!! Do you have or know where to find a stainless bowl/cooking pot to replace the original non stick option?

I recently purchased this rice cooker on the recommendation of a friend. It is a wonderful appliance, easy to use, versatile and cleans quickly. It cooks rice to perfection.
