California Proposition 65 law requires manufacturers to notify their customers if a product contains any of the now 1,000 plus listed chemicals that may cause cancer or reproductive harm (in the opinion of the State of California). Since the majority of manufacturing materials are made from various chemical compounds, it is impossible for manufacturers to produce products without at least one of the 1,000 plus listed chemicals being present in products. Chefman takes product safety and compliance to the law very seriously. As such, all Chefman products meet or exceed National and International standards for electrical and chemical safety. We are a socially responsible company and have therefore chosen to notify our customers in accordance with the California specific requirements.

A: This rice cooker has a Cook and a Warm function. After the unit completes cooking, it will switch to the Warm function automatically.

A: This rice cooker model does not have a steam function.

A: All Chefman products meet or exceed the safety requirements set forth by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for materials in contract with food or liquids. Concerning PFAS chemicals, Chefman has either switched PFAS surfaces coatings to ceramic or silicon, or is in the process of doing so currently.
