A: I am not sure about stoneware but I have always found the crock pot liners easy to clean.

A: Crock-Pot has dramatically increased the temperature of the heating element from what it was years ago, presumably due to worries about food-borne illness. It is very difficult to cook properly with modern slow cookers. I would recommend you scour garage sales for older models, which cook much more reliably.
