  • A: Hello! We regularly employ rigorous third-party testing to ensure that our Slow Cookers meet or exceed all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards, including those related to lead content. Consumers should feel confident that our Slow Cookers are safe to use. The glaze of our ceramic pots is a silicate made of quartz, feldspar and clay. The glaze is covered over the pot, fired at high temperature to melt the glaze and then cooled down. The glaze liquid is then turned into coating the same as glass film on the surface of the pot. This does not contain PTFE & PFOA. The FDA specifies allowable amounts of lead, cadmium and other substances. All the glazes that we use meet or exceed FDA requirements. If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am -5pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Q: Is the Glass lid oven proof?

submitted by Andy - 2 months ago
  • A: Hello Andy, Thank you for sharing the image. Based on this model of the Crock-Pot 7-Quart Cook & Carry Programmable Slow Cooker, the removable stoneware is dishwasher- and oven-safe, but the lid itself is not oven-safe. This is because the lid has rubber components on the handle and side latches, which could be damaged or melt in the oven. If you need any assistance with your Crock-Pot product, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly via our official website — we’re always here to help! We are available Mon - Fri: 9 am-5 pm EST. Warm regards, Crock-Pot Consumer Care Team

Bought this on a Black Friday deal but not worth the deal! The clip ons for the lid broke in the first week, despite that I kept it. But the temperature is not consistent at all. Boils at low - overcooks everything. Why I kept it for so long - who knows. Don’t recommend at all.

    Nice features but thin crock

I bought this crock pot Feb 19, 2026. I used it for the second time on Saturday, March 14th. I just emptied it and heard a pop. The farm crock cracked. I do not feel the crock is as thick as my older ones. Very sad. It did cook wonderful.

It looks nice but the latches are flimsy

This looks great but I am returning it because the latches that hold the lid down are basically flimsy plastic. I didn't want to worry about how long my crock pot will last based off the latches.

This product was a major disappointment due to both its quality and design. The crock arrived with visible bubbles and scratches, which immediately raised concerns about durability and overall craftsmanship. The biggest issue is the lid. It is extremely difficult to snap into place. I had to use significant force just to try to secure it. While struggling with it, my finger actually got caught, and I ended up with blood blisters. That alone makes this feel unsafe to use. I can’t tell if this is a defect with my specific crockpot or a broader design flaw, but either way, it’s concerning. I would be especially worried about someone trying to secure the lid while the contents are hot, as it could easily lead to burns or other injuries. Overall, I would not recommend this product based on my experience.
1 reply from CrockPot Support Team team - 3 months ago
Hello Catherine! Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience—especially the condition of the crock on arrival and the difficulty securing the lid. What you described sounds both frustrating and concerning, and your safety should never feel compromised while using a product from Crock-Pot. Bubbles or scratches on the stoneware are not considered normal and may indicate damage. As for the locking lid, it is intended to fit securely for safe transport, but it should not require excessive force to close. If you’re finding it unusually difficult to latch, there are a few adjustments that may help: 1. Ensure the lid is centered evenly on the stoneware before engaging the latches 2. Lock the clips one at a time, alternating sides to distribute pressure 3. Avoid forcing the latches if resistance feels unusual 4. Never secure the lid while contents are very hot to reduce risk of steam burns 5. Check that no packaging material or debris is caught around the rim However, based on your description—especially the injury you experienced—this may be a defective unit rather than normal operation. Your feedback about safety and usability is very important, and we take concerns like this seriously. If you would like us to look into this further, explore available options, or provide additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly through our official website. Our team will be glad to help. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9 am – 5 pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Crock-Pot Consumer Care Team

I am a heavy slow cooker user and have always had the Crockpot brand. This one is absolute garbage and made of plastic or plastic like material on the outside. I have had it less than a year and its all popping out of place. Also when you use the "warm" setting it continues to cook and burns everything.

Hello Erica, Thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback on our Design Series 7-Quart Cook & Carry Slow Cooker. We are sorry to hear that the slow cooker did not meet your expectations especially as someone who uses slow cookers frequently. The exterior housing is designed to be lightweight and heat-resistant, but it should not shift or come apart. Additionally, your description of the “Warm” setting shows that the unit is not working as intended. This is not the standard we aim for and we will forward your feedback to the product. We would appreciate the opportunity to look into this further and make it right. For assistance, we encourage you to reach out via the 'Contact Us' form on our official website. We are available Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time. We look forward to assisting you! Thank you again, Crockpot® Consumer Care

    Defective

I tried three different ones and all three have air bubbles in the ceramic lining that go thru to the metal. I ended up giving up and will have to look elsewhere. Such a disappointment because I loved the look and the features but it doesn’t seem safe or durable if the ceramic coating is already compromised. I’ve never seen this before and I have several different sizes and brands that have never done this.

Hello Justine, Thank you for reaching out to us with your feedback on our 7 Quart Cook & Carry Slow Cooker. We are truly sorry to hear that the slow cooker did not meet your expectations, and that it is overheating. We recommend following these steps to avoid overheating: - To avoid over or undercooking, always fill the stoneware ½ to ¾ full and conform to the recommended cook times (unless guided otherwise in our slow cooker recipes). - Do not overfill stoneware. To prevent spillover, do not fill stoneware higher than ¾ full. - Always cook with the lid on for the recommended time. Do not remove the lid during the first two hours of cooking, to allow the heat to build up efficiently. - When starting the cooking process, the slow cooker should contain at least one cup of liquid or sauce. That said, we value your feedback and it will be forwarded to the appropriate department for further review. If you require assistance or more troubleshooting, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us directly. You can do so via the 'Contact Us' form on our official website. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am - 5pm Eastern Time. Thank you! Crockpot® Consumer Care
